I am wondering if anybody got pre-cut STEK PPF? I am getting quotes from various detailers in my area and nobody yet offered STEK pre-cut PPF. The Xpel pricing seems rather high for me in my area at least...
My installer uses STEK which is what I'd convinced myself I wanted so win:win. They mostly used a machine to cut the roll to the patterns but there were a few areas where they + I were not happy with the pattern cut so they re-did them 'bulk fit' which seemed to resolve all the niggles.

Bit far for me, looking for someone local (Worcs/Warks/MIdlands) I have 2 equidistant Xpel fitters but only one replied and they weren't that quick either.
Pyramid care care (edge of Worcester) did my full car PPF but they use STEK so no good if you have your mind made on XPEL.

I did contact an Xpel installer in Worcester but they can't do mine until start of April if I have full coverage. Decisions.

I assume plus VAT? If inc VAT then that is a bargain! Did they put any coating on top of the film?
inc VAT, no special coating needed as it's hydrophobic but it might benefit from 'topping up' (in my words) with a coating months/year(s) down the line. 12 year warranty.

Many thanks for that. I think I will give them a call. I was quoted £4k+VAT by one firm! Xpel has a 10 year warranty too.

I've had a really bad experience with my local detailer. Their PPF plotter broke a day after I dropped my car off for the front PPF installation and they've yet to fix it. Now I'm suspecting they're in financial trouble as I've yet to receive a refund of my deposit.

Make sure to only use peer reviewed detailers is probably the lesson here.

those who got pre-cut PPF, do you have any detailed pictures available? How does it fit?

I am torn between pre-cut PPF or hand cut PPF... Cannot decide! I will appreciate any recommendations...

Mine was pre-cut. I have a couple of pics to show it but the fit is actually really good and realistically, unless you’re six inches from the car, you don’t see anything.

The last pic accentuates the edge of the film but you honestly don’t notice it in real life.

Useful pictures those Gary as it shows some of the tricky areas ! Be great to see similar pics from others. From what I understand the pre-cut stuff still needs a lot of cutting - it is roughly just the right shape - with a few cm overhang so it can be manipulated. Happy to stand corrected
