GR86 No hole parking sensors.

I've been testing them this morning and about to put up a couple of videos up. I'm also thinking of putting them on the front but I don't want connection to a continuous power supply or a switch. So would be interested in your thoughts.

You can get a timed delay off relay switch from AliX. Around £5 landed. So when you hit the brake pedal, the relay will power up and stay on for say 30secs (user adjustable) then power off. Every time you hit the brake, it will reset the 30sec timer.

So you wire up the front sensors to this timer relay.

This is very interesting. It's something I didn't know about but could work extremely well on front sensors. I will have to do some research into dismantling the front bumper and fitment. Thanks for sharing this as it seems a good power solution.

Here is another option. Works by speed (like a factory OEM system) so it gives a + signal when speed drops below 6mph. You could get this and power both the front and rear sensor kit to give you OEM results.

This would be perfect for front sensors. If I could be confident that I could wire it up I would give it a go. I'm sure a competent car spark would be able to do it but am unsure about myself. It looks as though a socket would be needed and probably wiring it to the fuse box. I would need a paint by numbers approach . If you use this for yours I hope you would share your installation process?

I thought I would post an update or the iBeam no hole parking sensors after a week of using and testing them. Generally they are very good. I haven't had any occasions when they haven't picked up an obstacle, even an extended branch in Waitrose car park. I don't feel as confident with them as factory fitted ones I have on other cars, but this just may be nervousness as I fitted them. The quicker beep sometimes kicks in late but the continuous one has never failed to sound near an object. When used in conjunction with the rear camera reversing is certainly a calmer process.
I made another short video just to show the rear perimeter activation zone for continuous beeps.
