GR86 Neptune Blue (Dunfermline)

Thanks a lot!
I have been looking at those wheels as well, they look really good!
I'd love the titan 7 t-s5 or Apex vs-5rs, but finding it hard to justify the money.
You could save a small fortune just by having the OEM wheels refurbished in a colour of your choice, which is what I did when I had them first done in Silver Chrome. Now I've got them in Piano Black I must admit to liking them more than I did in the OEM flat black. The OEM wheels themselves are a good design but, I just fancied something different and lighter in weight, as well as not having to swap tyres at the end of the season. Now I'll just swap out the wheels and reset the TPMS.

Agreed the OEM wheels are a nice design, even if they are the poor relation compared to the GR Yaris and Manual Supra designs, a respray can make the world of difference, when mine start to look tired I will have them done in a different colour.

Car recently given a Detailing, Wheels Ceramic Coated, along with refreshing the PPF Halo and Exo coatings at Zoldani (Dunfermline), my local Gtechniq accredited centre - images posted on their 'Gram' for posterity too ;)

I dont think my car will ever be as clean as yours looks in any photo you've ever taken of it 😅

For me it's having the time to keep it spotless. It's daily driven and with kitchen being done, I don't have space in the garage. I'm of the mind it's been bought to be used. Entropy gets us all in the end anyway so enjoy it. It's always going to pick up marks and trying to achieve perfection will drive you nuts. It used to be a quick snowfoam and air dryer once a week but in the wetter months I aim to clean it once a month if I have time but if I know rain is due I won't bother. Want to take mine back to detailer to do a decontamination wash to make it easier for the rest of the year. It's not beading as well as it used to.

Alignment carried out by Pro-Grip (Larbert) today. Figures were actually fairly decent to begin with - only 2 minor adjustments made. The purpose of getting it done was to negate any imbalanced tyre scrubbing having recently put wider (8") alloys with wider 225 tyres and a slight outward shift in offset from 48 oem to 42.

A couple of emergent issues with 'balance' after kicking a kerb. Hopefully get it looked at soon, but some places just don't seem interested ...

Bad luck Sonic and what a carry on being ghosted, hope you get it sorted satisfactorily before long.

Ordered a set of car mats (from AutoStyle) purely for use at car shows. This time they're in full Royal Blue, with standard GR86 logos on both front mats. 'As fitted' photo to follow upon receipt of aforementioned mats, swatch inserted merely for interest.
That'll be 5 sets of mats it has now ...

We'll bugger me with a pineapple if they haven't gone and f**d up my order!

Bit of a communications mix up resulted in me receiving a set of mats with the same motif as my black set, instead of the OEM type text logo that I'd actually provided them with. At least they are sending me a returns label and I'll have a replacement set made up FOC - this time with the correct motif ... 🤞

Got myself a set of Silver Tuner Nuts. I’m now contemplating which set would be more ‘car showy’ on the alloys - Black or Silver?
It’s strange how they each affect the look of the centre. Same camera, same light yet, the Black ones bring out the dark in the paintwork and the Silver ones make it appear brighter 🥸
