Thanks for the input. Funny innit; All of the men have gone with Black and all of the women I have asked (wifey and neighbours) have said Silver.
Having put the silver ones on to get an overall feel for them, I’ll let them stay on for a while to see if the look grows on me.
Edit: I tried out a one bucket wash today with ‘Carpro ECH2O’ as a car show practice run. I used a 200:1 ratio, the same as used with ‘AutoGlym Quick Refresh’ and an identical cloth. Seemed to work out well. No streaking and a nice gloss, ready for a QD to complete. It may become my preferred choice of show day detailer.

As washing cars isn't my favourite pastime, this ECH2O system looks almost too good to be true. Your car looks fresh out of the showroom and I have a couple of questions: how long does that superb appearance usually last compared with waxing and are you committed to the system or can you do an intermediate conventional wash?
My grey GR is as it was on delivery, except for headlight PPF and scuffed nearside wheel (both of which I did myself!). I apply Bilt Hamber carnauba polymer wax twice a year and it really lasts.

This routine is only done on an occasional basis when the car has been subject to a recent full maintenance wash and coating, ie., after a short, couple of hours’ journey from home to a car show, and/or when a main supply of water (such as a hosepipe) isn’t available, like at a hotel.
For shows I usually pack a 10L container of water, that I mix with 50ml of quick refresh (or ECH2O) on site and use it as a rinseless wash to remove light soiling. The 8L electric pump sprayer I use either as a pre-wash or as a wheel wash.
TBH, I’d never make rinseless washing a routine and I’d never use it on a heavily soiled car. The key though, if you have to do it, is to get the paint as lubricated as possible and to rinse or change cloths frequently.
As for longevity, it lasts as long as you are happy with it. My car barely goes a week without a full maintenance wash…

Late to the party as just had shoulder surgery! Black every day of the week, it goes with the rest of the black detail the side profile of the car. However it’s in the eye of the beholder, so go with what you (and the OH) likes.

Carpro ECH2O Test 2: To see if it would work as a ‘rinseless’ Pre-Wash, I put 1.5L of water into my Hand Pump Sprayer and added 10ml of Ech2o. The result was mixed. With a gentle wipe the panel was cleaned and light soiling removed, but the finish was slightly streaky and required a going over with QD. I put this down to my poorly calculated ratio and laziness at using a small measuring beaker with too large scale - At 10ml the ratio was 149:1, whereas it should be 200:1 (sigh), so next time I’ll use the proper syringe only add 7.5ml of Ech2o into the sprayer to see how that goes.

Correct. That's just the eBay advert, although I did once have my OEM wheels powder coated in a silver chrome colour, which is a bit brighter. My current Bola FLE wheels are 'Hyper-Black', which is effectively the same as Shadow Chrome.
