Correct. That's just the eBay advert, although I did once have my OEM wheels powder coated in a silver chrome colour, which is a bit brighter. My current Bola FLE wheels are 'Hyper-Black', which is effectively the same as Shadow Chrome.
Prepared the aftermarket eBay spoiler for fitting, with adhesion promoter and 3M PT1100 ‘Automotive Acrylic Plus Tape’ in the regions of contact.
From this part of the install I can tell ya, once that tape grabs there’s no lifting/going back! The two small test pieces I put on in the middle are stuck like limpets…
Next stage is to lightly machine polish the boot area and panel wipe to ‘soften’ the ceramic coating so stuff will stick. I may even use the adhesion promoter on the boot as my ‘test square’ stuck super tight and had to be eased off with a plastic razor and glue remover. Nerve wracking times!
In other ‘mod’ news; I received and fitted my AE quarter window Louvres in gloss black. I also found a use for those AE stick on GR badges that were until now assigned to my ‘box of shame’…
Decided to Strike whilst the sun’s out and it’s Done! No tears but plenty of sweat.
Now to let it cure for 72 hours…
Bonus is that I got £66 refund for some minor issues I noted, so it cost me £129.
Just finished off the job with some Synergy 2yr Ceramic Coating. Boom!
Well I never! The full amount of £189 has landed back on my Credit Card (I reckon someone in their ‘accounts’ dept will be getting it in the neck), so that’ll be one replica spoiler FOC!

This looks awesome - tempted to give it a punt myself!
How is the colour match Sonic? I've got a Sapphire Blue so my only options are to try a replica pre-painted or to find somehwere that can paint a OEM one for me.
What was the minor issues if you don't mind me asking? and did you have any import tax?

Colour match is absolutely spot on. One minor issue was some laquer 'dulling' on the rear edge which could be seen if the light reflected correctly; perhaps where it had been packaged before being fully cured? Anyway, it was easily remedied using a DA polisher with a soft pad and some final stage polish.
The other issue was slight 'kink/kick' on the O/S about 4" in from the end (zoom in on the photo above and you can see it above the O/S tail light). This isn't apparent on the N/S side, so it must have been a manufacture moulding error. Barely noticeable unless you go around the car looking closely for problems (being an ex-engineering QA Inspector, I tend to default to QC mode when I get something new). Neither issue warranted a return, so I just reported back to the seller and said I'm happy to keep the spoiler. They then offered me a partial refund, which turned out to be a full one! Although I was expecting to be charged given the cost of the item was over the £135 limit, I never got any import tax notification prior to delivery and haven't received one to date either.
The same eBay seller has an ABS Spoiler in Sapphire Blue (Code WCH): Hyperlinky Link which is showing at the same £189.99 or Best Offer.
eBay insider Tip of the Day - After I bought the spoiler (for £189) I noticed that I'd been sent an ebay message from the seller offering it for £170, because I'd been 'browsing' and had added it to my watch list. So before you buy, check your messages, or just go in with a cheeky offer of £140, but expect it to get to £170 before they accept.
Customised Car Air Fresheners (in requested New Car scent) arrived from AliExpress today. Double sided print and all individually vacuum packed. Turned out okay methinks.
Loving all the updates you've posted, certainly gives me some inspiration. My best mate stays in Dunfermline so if I make it out that way I'll keep my eyes peeled for you!

Cheers, glad to be of service. I'm up at the Duloch area between Tesco and Asda. Don't be driving that GR86 of yours up this way - the space/time continuum won't handle two bright blue units in the same vicinity. Neither will the girls up at Starbucks come to think of it

I thought I'd update my GR86 documents folder to include receipts where possible and keep a running total of my modifications/upgrades expenditure dating back to when I bought the car in November 2023. This includes the likes of PPF, Ceramic Coatings, Security upgrades, Exhaust, Wheels, Brakes etc,. but doesn't include the vast amount of AliExpress tat (a lot of which has ended up in the box of shame). So, here goes:
My GR86 mods & upgrades invisible spending to date came in at (Drumroll please) ....
£13,376.75 Ooft! That was a bit of a surprise!
I'd best keep that log book hidden from the missus

I know! It seems to have gotten away from me a bit - like a leaky bath tap you don't know how much water is being lost unless you put the plug in. Consider the plug now well and truly in!

It's a great video for marketing purposes. I really want it too, just for the noise if nothing else.
Something to bear in mind if you feel like doubling the bottom-line of your list. The turbo kit listed on the SME website is the G30 660 kit, however in this video it's a bigger turbo smart turbo.

I don’t think I ever would really. I’d prefer to buy a car with an OEM system, complete with warranty. I have a few cars on my radar for the future, even a couple of EV Sports Coupes
