@Sticky The PPF was awesome I was a bit daunted at first as I tried to tint windows years ago and it was to be honest crap. Just took my time and it all went on great, hardest one was the boot lid section getting it to fold over the top and bottom but I got there. The spoiler, sills and extended rear arch PPF was OK and I am well happy with the result.

Then onto the Auto Finesse Caramics ceramic coating. One panel at a time with prep spray first then the ceramic coating and all buffed off after the 5 minute hold time. Again used over 10 microfibres :ROFLMAO:

Just finished at 22:30 so here are some pics from inside the garage for those who are interested.

I will take more tomorrow outside.

are you going to do any underbody protection ? I read some people have used stuff like lanoguard etc ? Is it worth doing ?

Think its worth doing if you plan to keep it for a long time so probably at some point Yes as this car will be a keeper for me. I use Dinitrol on my other cars but might go with lanoguard and/or atom mac.

Thinking when mine arrives , will probably go lanoguard as I think it will be a keeper !
 
I went with Lanoguard, mainly because of how easy it is to DIY. The only real negative is smelling like a wet sheep for a couple of days afterwards if it's breezy :D

If you want to see what the underneath of mine looked at in my 6 month service video, let me know and I'll send you a link. It's filthy under there, after one winter, but I haven't spotted surface rust yet.

Went for a gentle run today to get the miles in.

Headed into Dundee then on to Blairgowrie and up to Glenshee on the A93. The road up is amazing and is used by lots of clubs etc. Fast flowing corners and tighter twisty bits at some points you can see for miles if anyone is on the road, happy to report the run up I had the road to myself.

Well first impressions on a twisty road are WOW 😲. Feels so composed even over crappy potholes etc. Literally blew me away and I was taking it easy.

An Aston Martin coming back down flashed and waved as did a boy in a Scooby.

Caught up with a Ford Kuga driven by an elderly gent who when we got stopped at roadworks and I was behind him waved me to go first pointed at the car and gave me a thumbs up !!

Amazing run out. Cannot wait till it`s run in and I can give it some beans properly.

I was not a fan of the red when I test drove one on a dark December day in 2020 but the pictures in decent light look great!
 
I’ve said it on the other forum but that bit of road is amazing! You are so lucky to live close to that!

Cool that would be good. Would be good if we can get a good turn out up here and go for a blast. Let me know when your coming up and we can wee if we can get a big meet organised. (y)

Finally made the magical 621 Miles. (y)(y)

Was away up on some lovely roads again at the weekend up to Killin and Aberfeldy. The amount of other people out with toys was astonishing bikers waving cars flashing and a bloke in Perth tooting like mad and waving ha ha.

Opened the taps fully OMG what a machine it`s flippin quick got quite a few surprises when I looked at the speedo :eek:

Threw it into a few corners properly and I am well impressed.

Love It amazing piece of kit.
