According to Listers Toyota, there will be a GR86 on display next sunday at the MR2 National Day, at Hatton Country World in Warwickshire.

I shall be in attendance, so I'll make sure to get lots of photos for everyone who can't attend.

This could be fun, also great to see the 86 in the flesh.
I might have to give it a miss though as I’m potentially heading off to Goodwood FOS at the end of the month and I assume it will be there…

Does anyone know if dogs are allowed?

Hatton Country World's website says dogs are not allowed - but that may be to the centre and shops etc, not a field on the outside. I also watched the video from last years event and spotted a few dogs about so hopefully they're allowed at this MR2 show?

EDIT: Just had it confirmed dogs are allowed in the show field, but not in the food or animal areas of the wider Hatton Park. 👍 🐶

Despite thinking I wouldn’t be able to make it (I should be lying by a pool in the sun now, but thanks to airport chaos that was cancelled) I’ve got to see the GR86 in the flesh, and sat in it. Very happy with everything so far, although definitely no parking sensors on it, so will have to get used to that again. Seats are very good, I’d go as far as saying better than in my Supra.

I'm here at Hatton too. I'd echo what @Nick says re the seats. Interior quality is definitely a step up from the GT86 (the early models in any case - I had a 2012). I timed my sitting in it right as they were about to move it for photos so I got to fire it up. Sounded good, subtle burble (although drowned out by some of the MR2 boyz revving their engines!).

I took some mediocre photos and I'll post them up later.

Jealous of everyone that got a proper look at it today, hopefully only a couple of weeks until the dealer demos start turning up 🤞

Less impressed with the Listers guys revving the nuts off it though… glad I won’t be in the queue for an ex-demo!
Why I'd never buy an ex demo. Many salesmen are not enthusiasts and are happy to abuse cars. They could be selling sofas in DFS next week.

Had a quick sit in it, seats felt good and the gearstick throw was quite short, felt a nice movement too. I know it was overcast but the paint didn't look metallic and 2 people I asked (one was wife of Toyota staff who drove the car up) and some random bod both said it didn't look metallic.
ETA she also said it was fairly quiet on the motorway so it should be a decent long distance cruiser.

I wonder if the electric blue will be the same as both are suppose to be pearlescent finishes but in the images I've seen both don't look it.
