That's exciting! Mines a 10.44 order and my birthday is 15th May.. if my car appears around/on that date I'll be buzzing!

I got it done at Pyramid Car Care on the edge of Worcester - they use STEK products which was what I wanted so that worked out nicely. The majority of the car was done the other week, they skipped the rear bumper as the parking sensors hadn't been fitted then (done yesterday) and it's going back for a few bits to get sorted and the rear bumper to get PPF'd now the sensors are fitted.

Some people want to wait for the new plate to impress neighbours/possibly gain a little on resale value, some want to drive their car asap. The choice is yours!
If the car is going to be a keeper, then no. Even if you keep the car for say seven years then the sale value then won't make much difference as you are selling a 7 year old car which will look either 7 or 7 and half years old and buyers will be more interested in actual condition and history at that age. If you intend to sell within 6 months to a year then it may make a difference.

I'm waiting for the 23 plate, but that is because I wasn't in a position to collect until mid-Feb at the earliest. Waiting 2 weeks was a no-brainer for me.
However, I doubt if it would have much impact on re-sale value - that would be more dependent on mileage / condition than anything else in my view.

My car has an estimated delivery date of end of Feb, so it makes sense for me to wait a week to get the March plates.
Complete personal choice, but I wouldn't delay it by a month.

Just had an email from Toyota telling me that my car will be with my chosen dealer in June this year. 
Mine was a confirmed 10:56 order.
Of course they point out that this is still an estimate but it's good to get an unprompted update from the guys at Toyota.

I was in a similar situation 2 weeks ago. Honestly I wasn't too fussed about being able to 'get my hands on it asap' initially given the pathetic weather, but decided to take the delivery anyway as I didn't feel like leaving it out in open at the dealership in the elements (a detailer who has attended to a couple of early GR 86s told me that they needed additional work due to being left out in open for long, uncared).
Re depreciation, I don't think there would be any impact of 72 vs 23 plate on this particular car. That said after deciding to take the delivery I anyways ended up buying a 5 digit private plate as I thought it improved the way the car looked.. and I'm so glad I did that.
After taking the delivery I realised that contrary to my initial thinking, I have indeed enjoyed 'owning' and 'driving' it despite of the weather.. resulting in extra smiles

If mine were at the dealer I would pick it up immediately, its not due until mid February so I opted to wait a week or 2 for the 23 reg, not that it means much, but having waited 10 months and previously advised mid 23 so its early anyway...it also means I can clear out some work and take a week off when I pick it up!!

As a 10.44'er that got a cancelled order.......We were both looking at 73!! Fingers crossed you get a 23 to!!I remember when ordering and thinking will it arrive close to the 22/72 changeover because I'm post 11am order.
Now I'm not sure if it will be 23/73

Toyota Online advised that mine would be with collection garage mid to late Feb, and that they would contact me again mid feb for payment and drive home insurance...I went white and liking the Silver and Grey now
I can relate.. went with Grey.. kept having second thoughts on color while waiting for delivery.. now that I've taken the delivery, I quite like it in the grey color.. very elegant! I think this car looks much better in person than in photos. Only complain is that it goes completely unnoticed.. makes me wonder if I should have gone for electric blue. I think this is very normal for things we are passionate about. My other love besides cars is guitars.. and it's the same story there as well
