GR86 GR86 Delivery Tracking and Collection thread

Thanks, apparently the Bracknell one arrived last week but the sales person I spoke to happened to miss the bright blue car next to the front door she had been walking past for the last week 🤣
I actually stopped in at lunch again today as I'd arranged a test drive but the weather was so bad I've moved it to Friday.

Liam is the contact at Bracknell that did the Goodwood training if you're struggling to get hold of the right person.

Who do you suggest for general updates at the dealership?

Has anyone received any news about accessories apart from the spoiler? Toyota Online hasn’t replied to my emails

I'll go to Liam I think. Spoke for the first time today but at least he'd gone on the training course so knew something about the car. He asked me when I was expecting delivery though so still in the dark a bit!

Was passing Johnsons Toyota Liverpool early yesterday morning after a night shift so thought I'd take a look - @CTG 300 I'm guessing this will be your test drive tomorrow? (y)

I'm liking the black tbf :ninja:

@Greg_gt86,

Yes, that's the one...

My wife and I had the GR86 pictured above out for around 2 hours 30 minutes in the end, but the car had done less than 20 miles and the weather here on the Wirral has been pretty foul all day, so a degree of circumspection was required.

However, whilst I was still able to get a good feel for the GR86's handling and ride, I am long-legged 6ft 3ins tall and found the cabin rather cramped - indeed, even with the passenger seat as far back as possible, my knees were right up against the glove box lid. Moreover, the rear three-quarter vision from both of the front seats is, in my view, bordering on the inadequate.

All in all, though, I now have a fair bit of information to absorb and reflect upon...

You've made more progress with them than I have!
I had to be a little persitant with the person who answered the phone - avoiding the can I take your number and someone will call you question.

I think they have reduced their staffing levels. No idea why.

Is anyone else collecting their car from Jemca in Reading? I called the other day but nobody could take the call. Have heard nothing since they gave me my deposit back in April.

Wondering whether I should just ask Toyota to send it to Bracknell. They are a bit further away, but if they are going to be a bit more interested, perhaps that would be an idea.

Parklands Toyota down here in West Cornwall have just, in the last day or so, received their GR86 demo.... I didn't know until I gave them a call this afternoon. Thought I'd pop over to have an actual look at one for real which would make a change after all the GR86 pictures online!! The car isn't ready to take out yet....
The guys there were very helpful as always and unlocked the car for me to have a look around at my leisure.
First impressions....... Much bigger than I thought as its difficult to get an impression from pictures. Really comfortable inside and a smart uncluttered dashboard etc.
This one is in blue but mine will be in red when it arrives eta April/May
I wanted to check in the glove box for the elusive 12v socket and found it...that'll be really useful!
I've attached a few pics showing the number plate for those that are interested on here.
Visually this car has met my expectations and more.... brilliant.View attachment 9828View attachment 9827View attachment 9828View attachment 9827View attachment 9828View attachment 9831
Enjoy 😀
I'm also using Parklands. Emailed last week and they said they was expecting on the 24th and would contact me to book a test drive. Did they give you any idea of when it's available to test?

Yes they did respond.
In fact I am part exchanging my car with them. Mine is arriving on 2 December according to their system. I’d call again or email them

Cool, thanks for the heads-up. Electric Blue auto as well, what are the chances? :)

£348 plus fitting for the duckbill.
Thanks.

So we don’t have the PPF option that the US gets. I wonder that the “long life body protector” is but it isn’t called Toyota Protect (which is ceramic coating) and it seems too cheap to be a ceramic coating.

Going by the price I'd say it's a DIY ceramic coating like the one Autoglym do for around £50.

Oh I was there just after you, about 3pm ish.. when the hail came 😅
Didn’t even notice the white one was a GRY at the time 😂
Looks like they’re waiting on it to be registered or something before we can test drive it.
Due mine (electric blue manual) on or after 1st December.

I know I’m not the guy you asked, but they’ve told me they hope to have it ready to test drive by the end of this week. Was more than happy for me to start it up and have a sit inside when I went yesterday though.

Anyone heard anything about finalising payment yet?
I thought I remember reading that for the GR Yaris, they finalised payment 2 weeks before delivery, so I was expecting to have heard something by now (going on 1st December delivery estimates). But nothing yet.

The online team is silent since they asked about 3 day insurance last week. I’m afraid 2 dec date will be more like 2 January pick up by the way things are going. I assume none will work during Xmas holiday period

I paid last week - they said they'll be sending out emails for payment when needed. Have seen a few others getting emails as well.
