GR86 GR86 Confessions

Anyone have tried enabling/disabling the alarm as indicated on the manual?

My car doesn't seems to work, nor appear to have any alarm?

I was thinking I wonder how effective they were before making a decision on whether to get them, that has saved me a few quid.
 
Not allowed to wash my car for 2-3 weeks... to let the ceramic coating cure and PPF, and then the detailer will come wash it for "free".
So my confession is, that I'm struggling not to wash it haha

I'm a bit autistic, stop start really does me in.

I struggle with the indicators a bit.

Pretty much anything that does something I dont want it to do lol

The relative simplicity of the 86 is mostly good though.

I actually thought that might be mandatory in Europe, my confession is I didnt know it didnt have it and wondered why it wasnt kicking in! 🤦‍♂️
To be fair idling in traffic I dont mind it given it saves some petrol and its not as if the tank is big enough to waste fuel at lights and jams! :ROFLMAO:

I have a problem the other way around.

My wife's Audi has stop start and I noticed that you can control whether the engine switches off by adjusting the amount of pressure you put on the brake pedal when you come to a stop. In other words, less pressure when stationary = engine stays on, more pressure = engine switches off.

With me so far?

Now I read somewhere that stop start only saves fuel if you are stopped for 7 seconds or more, so whenever I come to a stop I have to estimate how long I will be stopped for to avoid the engine shutting off for less than 7 seconds. If I get it wrong then I have wasted 0.1 pence of fuel and it annoys me.

It's probably better for me that the 86 is simpler.
