It’s low and by modern standards a pretty small car. Once you add in poor light of the winter months and completely oblivious or distracted drivers it’s a given you won’t be spotted.

There are a set of GR86 wheels also for sale, from the same seller, two have marks on the inside, I suspect they are off this car. That one is on GT86 wheels. I suspect it is a different car.

Yes the price seems fairly static and the number for sale has dropped as you describe, might be into the teens before long - and once single figures watch the price rocketBit of a general observation/question…..anyone else noticed the number of GR86 for sale on autotrader has reduced in the last month or so? At one point I’m sure there were close to 40 for sale and today there are just 21. And it would seem prices have levelled off a bit too?
I also don't get it. Personally I feel that if I do that then I won't be able to fully enjoy the carI got to be honest I don't quite understand why this is being followed so religiously, to me its like logging on to watch your pensions every week. It's a very small snapshot, not much to read in to, unless your buying or selling now of course.
I dunno, it did go pretty quickly from - we’ll make a few quid when we decide to sell, to we’ll probably break even, to we’ll actually get fairly well screwed.I also don't get it. Personally I feel that if I do that then I won't be able to fully enjoy the car
If tomorrow is worth 10 grand it makes no different to me and how I would use it. Similarly if it is worth 40 grand.
I feel the same... SWMBO said I could have the car for a year while she's recovering from her medical situation but it's now changed to "if we're going to lose £5k+ we'll get another "normal" car and keep the GR"I dunno, it did go pretty quickly from - we’ll make a few quid when we decide to sell, to we’ll probably break even, to we’ll actually get fairly well screwed.
I know there’s some folk who are planning to keep theirs forever, but I’d guess that there’s also a fair few of us who tend to switch cars quite often - and the whole ‘400 units sold out yarn’ reinforced that we were onto quite a safe thing money wise.
Probably stating the obvious (and 1st world problems and all) but I’d say it is a bit disappointing that values are at the point where I’d be looking at something like £5k depreciation in a year if I fancied a change![]()

I think that things will settle before October when mine is a year old so I'll gauge the market then...
Aw man, go easy on those of us who like a change - I don’t really think that running a car for a year and deciding to sell having put 8-10k miles on it should be called flippingThe only people severely negatively impacted right now are those who bought purely to flip, and quite frankly, f**k them
That isn’t the profile of a flipperAw man, go easy on those of us who like a change - I don’t really think that running a car for a year and deciding to sell having put 8-10k miles on it should be called flipping
Anything that is taking money out of your pocket and not in is a financial liability (that includes your own house), is only when you sell that it may become an asset (provided you actually made money on it)It’s fair to say 99% of cars should be viewed as a financial liability as opposed to an asset until the point they prove to be otherwise.
