GR86 GR86- Cars for sale - General Discussion

As said before though, if the UK market is only viable for another 1.5 years then why not capitalise while you can? I’d love to see more come here, I think I’d order one as a second car but I’d also love to see the flippers left with egg on their faces.
I think they already have?

Prices started at £39,000

Real sale prices £33,700 to maybe £35,000 for private sales?

Only a months salary to many people.

Not worth giving up such a great/rare car with a potential 10 year warranty.

So to continue the rumour, the price of these cars is the same/slightly higher in GBP ( and EUR) compared to USD and while the exchange rate is still favourable and shipping from Subaru Gunma plant to UK half the distance compared to the USA , I can see why they want to send more cars this way to drive higher profitability. I would think this is a car that needs lesser semi conductor chips ,especially in the manual model which seems to be majority of the sales (and demand) anyway. Subaru has been making them for the last 10+ yrs ( considering the car is a model refresh) and should have their production efficiency nailed.

And yes, if there is another lot , there will be a price increase and steeper PCP rates/ interest payments, I predict :D

The GR86, and all GR products are “CO2 heavy“ compared to the rest of the Toyota fleet , the wheels came off (literally) the bZ4X deliveries so Toyota probably won’t want to 🤬up their fleet average with a load more GR86 etc when they can sell everyone they make in North America etc. Anything you hear about “more coming” , is all guesswork , same as delivery date on your car 🤔😂😂🤞

Spotted another one for sale locally in Northern Ireland. Although with it not being a NI reg, I assume it has been purchased on the mainland and brought over to sell on.

Price - 36,995
Reg - WP72 XWM

That was the original blue one which was for sale in London.
If that’s the case makes an interesting debate as to what it actually sold for 🤷‍♂️ Dealer will be wanting a decent margin to make it worth while 🤔

I’d wager similar to what mine sold for, smidge under 34k. At 35995 they aren’t selling.
@Bennno, with it being a dealer , transport to NI , I would have thought nearer £32k as after VAT etc can’t see a massive profit for the dealer, end of the day it’s their living no profit = no income 🤷‍♂️

£36,999 would be £2995, less transport probably £600 = £2395 - or near £2k profit after VAT. Plus all the insurance product and finance commissions.

You might be right, perhaps 33k was nearer the mark.

Looks like a right knob to me :p
That's 4 black GR86s on sale then?

FP72CAV - TOYOTA RON BROOKS ILKESTON - no price that I can see
WP72UVL - that's @LU71KEE's car on ebay? - £35,500
WU72xxx - this one is on AT with delivery miles - £35,995
WP72LVM - 83 miles, also privately sold on AT - £37,500

Certainly not the most popular colour choice, will be interesting to see how low they get before they sell.

Yea that’s mine.

35,500 with offers

Not the weather or time of year to sell mind.

I was offered £31,000 but declined it.

Hopefully you'll get a decent offer for it.

As you said, it's fairly unfortunate timing for trying to sell now. I reckon 3-6 months ago you'd have people biting your hand off to buy one for £35k.

Also, whilst black might not be the easiest one to maintain and doesn't stand out as much as some other flashy colours, it's certainly a very desirable colour overall and will always be easy to modify to anyone's liking.

And so you should.

It’s a poor time to sell, Christmas done, loans dearer, inflation, recession and its a sports car- for most, a vanity purchase.

Your get £34k, it just a wait to after the sh1te that is January bills, weather and back to work gloom. 👍

Agreed. I’ve bought some absolute bargains at this time of year but things may look a bit better come early Spring so be patient. No council tax in Feb and March make me feel a bit richer for example…….!

I'll come clean, this is mine: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202212282803638

I'm not sure if I want to keep it or sell it, which is why it's up for more than the others as I'm trying to gauge interest.
I've been meaning to post it on here and my reasons for considering selling, but haven't had chance yet as I'm too busy to write everything out at the moment.
