GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 prices and dates across countries

Sweden

Confirmed prices in dealer systems but not published on general website ("more info coming" https://www.toyota.se/bilar/kommer-snart/gr-yaris ):
Manual 613.900 SEK (approx 52500€ incl 25%VAT, 42000€ ex VAT)
Auto 643.900 SEK (approx 55100€ incl 25%VAT, 44080€ ex VAT)

One equipment level only, Premium including all options except Metallic Paint costing approx 10.000 SEK

CO2 Malus tax is approx 10.000 SEK per year for the first three years on top of this. Could be a bit higher to have real effect....
I can personally confirm this. Put my order in yesterday morning for a manual. Price indeed includes Premium package with all options. So no options to choose from other than paint and stitching/seatbelts here in Sweden. Pearl White was 7.000 SEK extra on my order.

So in addition: order books opened on 18-04 for Sweden.
However, still nothing official online at the Toyota website. Not even prices.

It's weird, same here in Slovenia. Everyone started taking orders, but nothing yet in system or website. Apparently next week.
I hope they didn't sell more than they get :) I put my order down for gray auto.

Norway has been allocated 19 cars and 1 Kalle/Ogier.

Orders on 30.4 first come first served for normal and 24.4 for special edition.
would you have any insights about foreseeable prices? - so we can all have another laugh/cry?

Well, at least in Sweden the Toyota system is open for orders from dealers. So my order is actually in, also visible in 'MyToyota' already when I login to my account. I hope for you it's the same and it's not some pre-order process that dealers are doing by themselves. And then when the Toyota system opens you can still be unlucky if your dealer did not put the order in on time before the production slots for Slovenia are gone... 🤔

The Pearl White for 7.000 SEK actually seems to be an error in the ordering system here in Sweden. All metallic paints are in the system for that price, but for Pearl White (and red?) it was always (and still should be) a slightly higher price. My dealer confirmed this, but also confirmed my order is still definitive for the 7.000 SEK price.

So anyone in Sweden that wants a Mk2 in white pearl or red, be quick and save yourself about 3.000 SEK! 😉

Ok, here’s the “clean version” - with the recent updates.

Still: what’s the applicable amount of the “silly road tax” in the UK, please?

Please, only hard facts, no rumors! So, if and when you were contacted, are on the list, or have already signed a contract, enter those dates here. That way, we can all watch how far the wave is. And maybe help those desperately waiting without spending half their wake time checking Facebook and other “news”. Makes sense?

I’ve learned that I can only edit this list within 2 days, so if you have info or news for your country, just put them below and I can update from time to time.

Has anybody the same feeling that those price structures get closer to flight tickets, where fees and taxes exceed the pure product? This is sheer madness in France, Austria, Norway etc.! That would explain why manufacturers avoid certain markets? How can Toyota make any $ in Norway?

Interesting, from the Dutch magazine article: Why is this so? Well, you pay extra tax on every gram of CO2. The GR Yaris is a car with only a petrol engine and a transmission adjusted to acceleration. This means that the car is fairly polluting during the WLTP cycle at partial load: the hand box emits 197 grams of CO2 and the automatic even 215 grams. Now so many cars do that, but they can drive a lot more economically in the WLTP- cycle thanks to electrical auxiliary systems. So actually the government is punishing the GR Yaris for being too honest.

me: Maybe we should all put a hybrid sticker on the sides then?!?
As far as I know, dealers in Spain don't have any info yet. We are still waiting over here 🙃

Hello.

This information is in Spanish, but basically it says that there are problems with the software and that they will not open orders until manufacturing of the car begins in Japan, that will be at the end of May, if the stars align in the sky.

Hi Norbi, CO2 Tax in France is €60,000 for both manual and automatic cars, due to the 197g of CO2 on the manual.
For info, the special editions are 69,000 (inc VAT) and there is 1 Rovanpera and 2 Ogier cars available with a lottery draw on the 15th May. You need to sign up for the lottery by the end of April and pay a 1000 € deposit.
Yes I received the same mail on Thursday 18th, and a second one on 19th.

I can provide some information on how things went in Poland.
Announcement with lottery date and prices on: 5th March
Lottery takes place on: 12th March
Sold out within minutes, supposedly 470 units available. The results published the same day.

Prices (no VAT)
Base, manual: 40 493 EUR
Base, automatic: 42 566 EUR
VIP package (forged wheels, heated seats and steering wheel, parking sensors, some tech): 3013 EUR
Paint: 377 EUR

I managed to snag one up (VIP, manual, paint) with a June production date.

Poland has grown as a driving enthusiast country in my perception! Before wasn't on my radar at all, with this car first time I've seen (so many) vids from Polish events and also the first car where I'll be having Polish made parts (exhaust + wheels)...
Prices (no VAT)

On topic, what is the VAT on cars?
