GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 prices and dates across countries

It’s definitely a popular car for enthusiasts here. I see quite a lot of them on track days and they usually end up beating everything in its class. That’s what made me want one!

The VAT is 23%. My spec incl. tax amounts to about 54 000 EUR after conversion. Not cheap for a toy, but they don’t make cars like these anymore. It’s one of the few modern cars that still excites me.

I can provide some information on how things went in Poland.
Announcement with lottery date and prices on: 5th March
Lottery takes place on: 12th March
Sold out within minutes, supposedly 470 units available. The results published the same day.

Prices (no VAT)
Base, manual: 40 493 EUR
Base, automatic: 42 566 EUR
VIP package (forged wheels, heated seats and steering wheel, parking sensors, some tech): 3013 EUR
Paint: 377 EUR

I managed to snag one up (VIP, manual, paint) with a June production date.
you know what CO2 tax is. Does it apply in Poland?

And does anyone know what CO2 tax is applied in Germany?

54,000 is manual + VIP + paint?

Yes. 54k is the final price. We don’t have any CO2 tax at the moment but there will be one soon, it’s quite insignificant though.

In your opinion, do you have the pissibility of selling it?

So an update on how it actually works in Balkans.
Dealers took advanced payments of 10% on thursday.
Tomorrow orders open and dealers will do a battle royale for car slots. And when asked if they will return payment if they can't secure the slot for you now, they were reluctant to say yes, because they say they never know if they would be getting more slots in future. What a shitshow in my opinion. I'll update tomorrow if I get a slot.

Actually as of today in Italy, if you search for a GR Yaris in Autoscout24, and if you set the sorting order to "price descending", the first seven listings are about Mk2 cars, sold at prices ranging from 85k Euros to 57k Euros .
Some listing is even reading that you still can configurate the car, and some others are about the sale of a placed contract for a fee.
From rumours I heard, Toyota Italy is trying and being much strict about the ordering procedure for the Mk2 GRY, and it looks like it'd be impossibile to give up a placed order by selling it to other people.
If you give up your Mk2 order, I guess Toyota Italy will cancel the order (and you'd lose the paid deposit, clearly), to allocate the car to people who showed interest for the Mk2, but who finished on a waiting list after the 2024 allocation had been sold out.
Hence, I don't really know how these people think to be able to sell their contract, but in Italy the impossible is always more possible than you could imagine, you know... 😑

I'm happy to report I got my order number today in My Toyota website.
So @Norbi you can add todays date to Slovenia table. I still don't have info if it should get moriso tag - but there is very high chance it did.

Does it tell you an expected delivery date?

From what I understood from my dealer, by now no one can possibly bet on a plausible range of dates for the delivery of any ordered GRY Mk2, and the only (very rough) certainty is still that all cars around Europe will be delivered from September to December 2024, hopefully.
It looks like we won't know any more details or dates until we will see a planned production week for our ordered car, and this will be likely decided by Toyota at the very last useful date, as it happened for almost any Mk1 model, actually.
So patience will be our best friend through 2024, I guess...

wow that's a salty pricetag. (suolainen hinta, in finnish)

How about sumppu?
I won't lie, I searched it online... It's something like "narrowing"? ("stringe" in Italian notes). If you could give me private lessons of finnish language one day, I would be ready to apply for data scientist at TGR-WRT in Finland, and hence making me the happiest man in the world...😃 (if they'd hire me in the end, of course)
