GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

Looks like someone played Photoshop for 5 minutes. Pay attention to the background, the interior(same crapy display), the tires, etc...

Here the original.
Hence pinch of salt. The one of the rear though is interesting, I can't find a Toyota released photo from the same shoot of that angle..

Yes, just take a GRY and insert or overlay it into the other picture. From the angle, this non-CP Edition would also fit right away :).

I mean, the filter alone where it looks like someone has smeared a 1970's television reception on a stormy night over the picture is enough alone to say that's a bad shop

I really don't see them doing a facelift.

AFAIK they haven't facelifted any of their sporty models from the last decade... closest is the GT86/GR86.. and strictly that's a new model?

I can't see them facelifting their most niche model, and if I'm honest I expect it'd annoy GRMN buyers

Pretty sure it’s fake but if real it doesn’t look so nice at the back (Suzuki Ignis??) I hope they don’t release a new DSG version as like part of the philosophy of the car is a full manual gearbox too, so DSG counters that.

I’ve been driving a Morgan Plusfour all week with the BMW auto box. If a GRY was released with something as good as that I’d swap in a heartbeat.

There are so many cars out there without a manual... That's what makes GRY so special for me... that and the handbrake.

I borrowed a Supra MK5 over the weekend, with a manual. I thought that would be great. But with the car, the manual transmission got on my nerves completely :).

Can be so different :).

They look familiar, based on pics from our current gen. Still could be based on real intel.

As I said, based on current gen pics but not necessarily BS, somtimes these PS are fairly accurate as they can be based on intelligence from inside.

The GT86 was facelifted! For worse imho...

Would be funny if Toyota hopped into bandwagon and made the MK2 GR as a Rally SUV. with little increased back seat room, maybe a 12'' infotainment screen and auto box.

Like a CHR but with the Yaris drivetrain and big off road tyres?

The pictures posted above are just the original launch pictured that someone has played with. It makes no sense for Toyota on any level to make another. They seem to be massively struggling to build the last few as it is.

Just had it from a source that I really trust on the inside that GR Yaris petrol is dead. Last existing orders are to be built and then production will end. Then the GR Yaris will return as a hydrogen car in 2025. This is also the situation with GR86.

Don't shoot the messenger, and feel free to take with a pinch of salt.

Given all happens in accelerated pace wouldt be surprised. Just got my first reading glasses today - getting old and all..

Hydrogen I feel is less potent due to lack of fuel supply - mild hybrid is more likely

The GRY MK2 that will be released in 2024, will have all the Upgrades i wish the MK1 has. 😅
No idea how it will look, but technically it will be a different/better car…

At least as far as i know. 😉
