89422A - Coolant temp sensorhi, i understand that you have a subscription... can you tell me where the liquid temperature sensor is? because even today i turned off the car, after 3 minutes i turned on the dashboard and it showed 111 degrees... in my opinion is it too much or not?!
As others have said - it's most likely heat soak, not a bad temp sensor.
Coolant temperature and the temperature of some engine components can be very different. Parts like the cylinder head, exhaust manifold, turbo, and cat are much hotter than the coolant. When you stop the coolant flow and airflow under the bonnet, heat from those components starts soaking into the cooler engine parts and the coolant.
Just do a few more cool-down laps if you're on the circuit or drive with less load at the end of your journey or let the engine idle a longer before turning it off.
