GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

Gen 2 at a dealership in Letchworth, no price on it. I had a nosey around it, not sure about the white stitching on the seats.
I might ask if I can have a cheeky spin in it.
Maybe this one?

Just to update those on what’s going on in the UK it seems this weekend dealers have been given 2 cars to sell (I’m not sure if this is all dealers or just GR centres). They have 1 for sale immediately and 1 for later in the year according to Facebook posts. I’m not sure if there is any options or wether it’s current stock so would be interested to hear from those that are purchasing / been contacted.

There’s around 57 GR centres and 180 dealers. So looking at 115-360 cars for the year possibly?

I don't know if it was the same with the mk1, but it seems that even on a fully warmed up car, if I cut the engine for a minute, start again and drive off, the boost is limited again to something like 0.8 for a km or so even if the temps are all good, is it normal ? I'm not against safety measures for the engines though, better more than not enough.

Just confirmed through someone who has just purchased one of the available cars that it was GR centres only so looking at a low number of cars for 24/25 could be around 200 in total.

Government data is being streamlined apparently so will have to wait until June and July for new car data up to March 2025.

Meanwhile THIS price achieved (plus 6% commission + VAT, so £53,326.64!!!) for an AT on CC site at weekend. Saves all that faffing around through dealers I suppose.........

That’s insane, that’s closer to SE price than the normal price. I think there’s going to be fewer of these in the UK than initially thought, initially thinking they would eventually open up the order books properly on these but it doesn’t seem to be the case. Perhaps TGB are worrying about high performance car sales numbers after all.

Love it

How can I make my GR sound like that? Best exhaust note I've heard, assume it's synthetic...

Sounds to me like it's simply not resonated. That alone completely changes how the car sounds from my experience. My Milltek sounds completely different between the resonated and non-resonated one.

MK2 GR Yaris Kalle edition

Can anyone explain what "constant-velocity rear differential gears" means? How does it differ from the regular car?

And how much power is sent to the rear in Donut mode?

There was lots of marketing talk for special models, not sure if there is big difference. But maybe the awd modes have been altered.

Ok so yes can confirm it is GR centres only in UK. 2 cars for sale apparently released on Fri 31st Jan - this is main 2025 GR availability - Toyota GB confirmed. As it is dealers then available to new GR customers rather than ballot of existing customers etc. If you are interested then best contact GR dealerships. My local one had already sold both...Good luck!

Just had a BCC email from dealership offering a new GR, either manual or auto, arriving in June. They’re looking for a £2k deposit, first come first serve.

Weird they didn’t have anyone for this already.
