GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

Is there already a solution to permanently or automatically disabling RSA when car is started?

This feature annoys me so much I can't handle it. I feel it's not safe me looking at menus to disable it everytime I drive for first 100m. I'm getting Land Cruiser with same feature soon and I really don't want to be stuck with who cars which make me pissed off everytime I have to disable this.
If you think it’s not safe then do it when parked?

Hi, new gen 2 driver as well. Unfortunately in EU no, regulations mandate that it will turn on again on every start. Basically what i do is that on one of the dashboards i have settings dial on the center, so on startup: 1. switch left, press ok, 3 speedrun presses down, 1 press to disable, then i switch to my "main" dash i use the most. Tbh it really sounds bad when writing it down like this :D But I take it as necessary routine, takes me ~3 seconds. Edit: plus I let the car warm up a little before driving out, so I use it to disable it.
Hopefully you’re not letting it warm up for too long, best thing to do is start driving to warm everything through.

But agreed on your point that it takes seconds. I often leave it on until the cars warmed up as it really isn’t an issue unless you’re speeding and even then it’s only annoying if you don’t keep a constant speed.

For some reason it's detecting 2km road from house to main road as 30km/h speed limit, it's not, it's 50kmh. Its beeping all the freeking way.

And yeah, it would be safe to do it before you even start driving, but I usually forget to do that when I get in the car, I start disabling as soon it's starts beeping.

I know there is no official way to disable it, but I know there were start-stop adapters for the Gen1, so hoping for same solution for Gen2.

Strange mine beeps 3 times and then stops. It only goes off again if you go under then back over again.

I've been told from a few reliable sources that Toyota (in Italy, but I guess it could be an EU-wise policy) asked to all dealers to register by the end of 2024 all the high-emission cars they had in stock.
This is obviously due to lowering the chances of fines by the EU in 2025.

The rumor going around is that Toyota is staying still about its high-emissions line-up in the EU countries (GRY included, of course) until the ongoing discussion in the EU Commission gets to a point that would sheds some light on what the future holds for high-emission cars in Europe.
First indications are that the EU should adopt a softer approach than before, due to the requests by many countries (and automakers) in this direction, but nothing is certain so far.

This is having an obvious effect on order books for the GRY, that, at least in Italy, are closed with no hints or certainty of a reopening in the future.

All these gloomy news gave me the final push to ruining my residual finances, always in the Morizo name of course, and here it is the (automatic) twin sister I'm going to give to my manual Mk2.

I need some serious help with my expenses control... 😰

Did my first track day/afternoon at goodwood in the mk2 yesterday. Mine is a manual, and like the mk1 it felt very engaging! It was dry but a little cold 6 degrees c. I had the pleasure of also driving a friends GR86. What a difference that was compared to the GRY. Gripped in completely different places to the GRY and being N/A gearing was totally different, less gear changes in the GRY as the power low in the revs of a GR86 just wasn’t there. Enjoyed using the sports display on the GRY made it easy for gear changing, I have an Eventuri fitted but only just put it on as was running the car in as stock. Get some really nice intake noises under load few videos you can hear it going down the start/finish straight. Noticed quite a lot of under steer on certain corners on entry can be a little squirrelly but powering out it gripped nicely and you can keep it pinned with the assurance it’s going to stay where you want it. No over heating issues, maybe due to the ambient temp. Factory fitted pilot 4s were very good, no brake issues, the circuit is renown for being a “power” circuit so a couple of heavy braking zones, Great car, out the box feels very planted and controlled. Extra power compared to the mk1 was definitely noticeable. There was also a mk1 there too. I don’t plan to mod mine anymore as want it to be relatively standard. So just GPF delete with standard exhaust system and Eventuri intake. No warning lights, no remap, sounds almost stock and drives significantly smoother through the power now it can breathe. Noise level at 4200rpm was tested at 80db at the tailpipes.

Which GPF delete will you choose?

No unfortunately not. I also put this on the forum comparing a Akrapovic delete I had for the mk1 to the GPF of the mk2. The coupling to the cat on the mk2 is slightly larger with a deeper gasket and the mk2 one has an extra kink in it and is longer. I’ve reattached images for reference.
Thank you for your detailed explanation 👍🏻
