So here it is, maybe it's really nothing. I imagined the window would dip before opening the door, but perhaps it's fine after all.
I think the main reason for the window lowering is for closing the door. It uses the door open switch on the b-pillar to actuate the window. So I got the car today and it's awesome. One thing that I noticed immediately is when I open the door, the glass drops down in some time, there is a noticeable delay. This causes glass to rub on the black rubber surrounding the window. Is there a specific procedure for opening the doors?
No, it's the door handle that activates the lowering.I think the main reason for the window lowering is for closing the door. It uses the door open switch on the b-pillar to actuate the window.
They could have used the keyless touch on the door handle to have a smoother opening.

Try holding the door shut while opening. You’ll see it is the switch on the b-pillar.No, it's the door handle that activates the lowering.
And, in other cars, the windows stay a bit lowered as long as the doors are open. So closing them isn't a problem.
You are right and I was wrong! It's the switch. Maybe it can be modified to react a bit quicker.I think the main reason for the window lowering is for closing the door. It uses the door open switch on the b-pillar to actuate the window.

What will it achieve? 4 years of ownership and never thought it’s an issue? You are right and I was wrong! It's the switch. Maybe it can be modified to react a bit quicker.
