GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

As already mentioned in the forum, we tested it out on the test bench with my Evo for 1 day. Let me put it this way: ..... it would be more beneficial to take the whole thing out again and go to the toilet properly beforehand.
The weight saving outweighs the spray system in terms of increased performance.
It doesn't give increased performance. The whole thing is meant to cool everything when you're stationary so that you can keep going?

Yeah use it when you got heat soak from being stationary and IC core is hot. So after city red light driving in summer, after pit stop etc. Just driving will bring the core temp down but the spray goes a bit faster.

Another reason I prefer to drive in the rain, free and constant spray ;)

So good for traffic light grand prix’s in summer

I looked into mounting a custom interchiller. These things really work. But again it was lots of $ setting up a bespoke water/water cooler with chiller and relied on cracking or replacing the ecu which wasn't yet done/crazy expensive.

Is that the CO2 based systems? I'd be interested to know more about what you were looking at
Using a tap off the ac system to run an evaporator in the intercooler. Takes minimal energy and gets incredible results. I got to know Kurt through an LS forum when I had an LSA. There is a generic kit that could be adapted.

Impressive, not seen this type of system before.

Ahh yes... I remember the days of filling my evo 6 intercooler spray bottle with ice đŸ˜‚đŸ˜‚.... Did sod all back then and sod all nowđŸ˜‚. Only if sitting in traffic for long periods. Other than that... Gimmick.

Mk1 MFF mudflaps for example are not compatible with MK2, so i would guess it goes the same for other mudflaps that use brackets like Rally Armor, the wait will be quite a while for compatible ones after delivery for me, it seems...

Quite interesting, they have change the car on the back quite a lot.
Exhaust system has been reworked as it seems, structure around mudflaps, lights,..

Hmm interesting. Just saw this video from yesterday on YouTube where a German dealer unpacked a Mk2 but no info on what's up with the car. It's even a relatively close dealership that I have been to before when I test drove a GR Supra from them.

Quick update on that. They commented on their video that is now in their showroom as a demo car. Potentially interesting for Germans or people living close to the border.
