GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

No for me. The financials didn`t really stack up so would have just flipped it anyway. I`ll stick to the original and try and better the 6000 miles in over 2 years. Not as gutted as if I missed the first one.....

Wow, only 1 forum-member who got an allocation. Considering this forum is full of GR1 owners, I would have expected a much higher successrate.
Did they mention somewhere how many are coming to UK?

On Facebook on one of the groups is a poll and 10 have said they have a slot and 150 say they don’t. I was expecting more to say they have.

Isn't it nice to feel so "special", like when you wanted to buy an iPhone in 2007....?

No for me as well.... I would have definitely gone for the auto if I had got an allocation.
Never mind... might swap to a CTR now as I feel the gearbox is the weak point in the mk1 and don't want to mess around changing things for warranty purposes.

Glad I’m not the only one that thinks that.

I remember that in the recent Carwow video where all types of GRY were tested in the new Toyota Circuit, it was mentioned a "200" when talking about the UK allowance.

No for me. I ticked the box as it was easy at that stage. I doubt I would have actually gone through with it though. I will stick to my current GR MK1 and GR86 with very embarrassing low millage although I'm trying to improve that slowly! I may have upset TGB when I cancelled the 86 and bought at a discount in the mayhem at the end of last year! Probably got me on the blacklist!

I don't think anyone who already owns this amazing car will really be disappointed on not winning in the ballot.
We already have the " Original one " and have made our own improvements to match the Gen 2 or have taken things further. At a cost that is far less than the Gen 2.

Keep enjoying driving your car
Was @ Anneau du Rhin yesterday (not with the GRY) and there were quite a few of it. During lunchtime I looked at these at the carpark and thought how happy I am to own one of these as well…

Been thinking the same regarding the ctr
