Quite possibly. I’m surprised the rate is so high considering they’re offering other deals on other models. Even at 5% it was considerably more expensive than the Mk1 not taking into consideration the hike in OTR price. Combined with making everyone wait so long they could have tripped themselves up here. Not exactly striking while the iron is hot. Albeit I have entered and if offered will buy one but not on finance. As it becomes ridiculous that way.Seems weird that tech pack, comfort pack and forged alloys aren't listed as either included or even as options. My last hope was a good finance deal like the rest of the Yaris range looking out of reach now sadly 8.9%Bugger! As options( if available )would take it close to 50k
I wonder if the UK market could struggle to shift 1000 near 50k Yarii Might be a smaller allocation due to Co2 limits mind you.
I think many in the ballot will baulk at the real world price
I think the finance is as expected. If they’re running a ballot to buy one, they clearly don’t think it needs incentivising with a low APR. Anything 5% or lower is offered to try and generate some sales. Makes the new car circa £20k more than the first!Quite possibly. Can't remember exactly where I saw it but someone on here in Japan was told by Toyota engineers that the mk.2 is more track focused. Be interesting yo see what car journalists think of it on real life B roads and not stuck in 2nd. gear on an ice trackMy biggest concern is not the finance but the firmer suspension. The ride on the. MK1 is near perfect for a UK A/B road blast.
If they’ve sent it directly to you then I’d say it’s likely you’re on the list for a reason. If you put your name in the hat what’s the worst that can happen? They email you back in a couple weeks saying you don’t pass the checks? Unlikely if you asked me. Plus if you do then get offered a slot but don’t want it just refuse it. I think the ballot is going to be hugely inflated anyway and some will enter for the sake of it and some will change their mind when push comes to shove and unfortunately people will miss out but I guess it is what it is. Not releasing any figures with regards number of allocation for this year seems a bit odd to me.I got the ballot email too. I'd given up hope on this car as the small print on the last email stated you needed to have own the old GR Yaris for a year to qualify but this email (and the T&Cs) doesn't mention that. It seems have change to :
"Existing GR Yaris customers includes those who have purchased GR Yaris from a Toyota Centre or Toyota GB PLC and those who have serviced their GR Yaris within the Toyota Network"
I'm tempted to entry now, as I had mine 10 months and had it serviced at a centre.![]()
2.9% rep. for the rest of the range. Treasure Island? The finance would need to be well under 5% for it to be a consideration for me.
