best MF for us GR Yaris owners would be to see someone doing brave recce runs with stock Yaris. Sorry bad humour but it has been a heavy lifting week.

myself also preparing that bill-of-materials...
So far:
-Rear bumper (or ev. just the black/lower part)
-Exhaust
-GR-four / GR Yaris labels or relocating the old ones
-Rear lights + center section
Hacks:
-tap into the wiring to re-direct the wiring for the position-lights+fog+reverse into the boot lid. (not sure about the 3d brake light though)
We forgot one as well, the existing light is in the spoiler, so might make sense to get the colour matched new spoiler.

no mentions of mk2 on Estonian and Finnish Toyota sites. could be just slower marketing/web page updates but also possible of something else.

MK2 sales will start in Sweden beginning of summer, that's when the prices will be available as well. No info on delivery

An interesting video of a back to back lap times in the mk1 man vs mk2 man vs mk2 auto, not much between the mk2 aut/man. I won't spoil it but imo it's enough to make you want to upgrade!
Update on Australian prices, mk1s have gone down roughly a further 4 to 5k bringing the average to a total of 8k.

No major difference, although 4th onwards its little bit closer and highest then overdrive
It's in line with expectations with 10% more power and improvements that have a track bias. If it had knocked off 3seconds+ (without the - typical - misshift on the OG), then I would have thought they really did some magic...
But for sure, as is it's a solid upgrade and it seems now you can choose with your wallet if you value the upgrades, can't really choose wrong...
Another point to make is if you value your warranty those upgrades look a lot more enticing.
I watched this video earlier today and here's my take: there's a clear bias and issue with the order of the drives. We need a truly unbiased journalist to test drive the cars. To me, it seems like these reviewers are almost obliged to praise the MK2 over the MK1, even when it's not necessarily better in every aspect.
My main issue, though, is with the sequence they drive the cars. It's common sense — the more laps you do, the better you get. It's not rocket science that lap times improve with… more laps. They should run the MK2 first, then the MK1. I'm willing to bet that the gap in their performance would be much closer than what's being shown.

The new model comes and suddenly the old one is bad. While the old one took 5.0 seconds when it came out, it now only manages 6.0 seconds. Before the old model was a super duper mega Rocketblaster and now it's so-so average
.What would they do if in their pointless 0-100 tests someone came along with the old model who could shift gears and release the clutch at the right time (Carwow<---- i absolutely hate this blah blah channel

It has always been like this. Don't let this bother you too much. What I love most are the tests from people who can't even shift gears, but can immediately and without any doubt feel 3 more welding points on the body.

Totally agree, but was more in reference to non friendly mods (remap etc)
Listen mate, we MK1 owners need to cope somehow, ok?
The MK2 is certainly going to be better from a technical point of view. I don't think the differences are going to be massive though.

Mk2 is different car to mk1 - what you appreciate defines which is better. For average driver few tenths or even seconds is not the end of the world. Would actually appreciate balance, feel and response to mere lap time.

I have no doubt they would, but, there are some people out there who will run close to the end of their warranty period before taking that step.
