Screenshot from the end of that vid.
Exhaust tips clearly wider apart and also a tad larger.
Similar to the GR Corolla the exhaust should flow better too to reach the higher power, and it also seems the interior engine sound is also much more natural (because it is, or?) compared to the speaker blare from the mk1.

I also wondered about the exhaust (mainly because if I did get a Mk 2, it would be a bonus if I could transfer my Akra across), but I'm not sure if it is actually wider, or if it's a trick of the eye with the new rear bumper assembly. Unless they've changed the profile of the floor pan, I'd expect them to be the same dimensions.

I've tried to listen that artificial sound in mk2. in early vids it sounded different but now in latest video it was same as in mk1.
Very likely that similar sound was from the prototype models that maybe share some components with mk1, however I would wonder as the dash and ecu were already from mk2 why the engine sound would not have been.

did some snow drifts in mk1 yesterday - hard to say what car would be better in weight transition, car did exactly what I asked.
Hope to get test drive with mk2 soon but based on the experience with mk1 it will be almost impossible to notice differences in grip on tarmac road as mk1 provides already so silly limits. so maybe it requires racing track to notice the difference. Funnily enough, most (or all?) review videos have been on race track, not on road..
Given its a road car not a race car this approch is bit weird, but not impossible as we all know how much generic opinion is nowaday created based on track reviews where journalists drift their cars.
I'm maybe in same boat with @Onehp - if some day upgrading the suspension maybe go for rised and soft version with proper hydraulic bump stops to get most of weight transfer fun and silly driving on various surfaces.
Hope there would be wet track driving fun and timed lap competition between the two, with same tyres. Or should we create one?

There are more shots in the vid. I compared to the shutlines sides of the tailgate in the rear bumper and the position relative to the towing hook, both hardpoints that shouldn't have changed (rather then the styled black insert of the rear bumper that maybe has). It looks to me the tips are wider apart. But do check on other pictures...

I really like the rear of the new one. I can maybe see a new boot lid in my future! Was also hoping to get the rear bumper but these exhaust changes might put stop to that.
Come to think of it, where's the reverse light on the new one? Isn't that it in the middle of the old bumper?

new wider exhaust pipe split makes the rear do look wider. good design change.

Think about 7 of these shipped to me today, so will be listing next week some time
I totally missed that too, that is defo one of the reasons it looks cleaner.
Wonder if we can retrofit that? Don't see why not, only issue might be how the power gets to the light I suppose. Relocate light power, attach new piece, replace GR Four badge with GR Yaris one.
I wondered about diffuser but with the tips seem to be wider looks like standard Yaris exhaust won't fit

not sure if you're allowed to glue stuff on top of surfaces that are used as rear lights? even though yes that's decorative but still.

myself also preparing that bill-of-materials...
So far:
-Rear bumper (or ev. just the black/lower part)
-Exhaust
-GR-four / GR Yaris labels or relocating the old ones
-Rear lights + center section
Hacks:
-tap into the wiring to re-direct the wiring for the position-lights+fog+reverse into the boot lid. (not sure about the 3d brake light though)
@GRandemakina I wouldn't be too surprised if it was close, the power for the rear camera must come from somewhere, and it needs to go external to internal, so there must be some access port there somewhere. Though, just skimming back someone did notice that the reverse light is in the old diffuser too, so we probably need to work out where that's gone too.

Found them. Guessing one is fog, one is reverse.
I expect with a third party exhaust there won't be much to change with the new back part actually. My Milltek tips are removable, as are the pipes from the back box, so I expect we could get some replacements knocked up without replacing the entire exhaust system.

I'm not sure what you mean?
If I did this, I'd move the GR Yaris badge down from the MKI position, to the where the GR Four badge is, and just remove the GR Four.
