My car is not here yet, so time to watch what happens

Yes, we data log each car on the dyno and build a custom calibration for your car, whether it's stock or modified.I'm assuming that maps can be made bespoke to each car to suit the hardware that they have?
Many of us are running intakes, exhausts, OPF deletes & more, so there isn't a one size fits all.
This will be interesting as no one seems to know how much power the oem turbo can make before going bang or indeed how much power the oem clutch can handle.
Do your research, read reviews and choose a tuning company carefully . We have done extensive development on our own shop car which we have owned for a year using Syvecs so we have a good understanding of this platform which we can now apply to the stock management system. There are other companies who have invested in the same way that we have and will be able to do an equally good job. However, there will be plenty offering tuning for these without a dyno and without any prior experience or knowledge of the GR platform.
There is no issue with valve float up to a certain point, 330-340hp if tuned correctly and within the limits. We have done extensive testing and development on our car using Syvecs which is why we say to choose carefully and preferably a tuning company who already have experience of the G16E-GTS engine. As for replacing the valve springs, it's a fairly big job but it can be done without removing the head, by pressurising the cylinder to keep the valves from dropping into the cylinder etc.One issue I want to wait and see about is valve float. It was occuring on a couple of cars being tuned before the turbo was maxed out and from my understanding it the first mechanical limit you'll hit when tuning.
I have an exhaust with just a motorsport cat and it'll soon have and intake and intercooler and oil cooler.
Upgrading the valve springs is a fairly extensive exercise too, at which point you may as well upgrade the cams (if tuning allows) while you have the timing chain off and the cams out.
That would mean a 20% transmission loss, which seems low for a 4wd system?Motive had valve float at 195kw/456nm atw, which is +40kw/54hp from stock. Idk what that is at the engine, you europeans are weird with your bhp's.
All dyno's read differently, more important is the difference between runs. Other's dyno's have read as low as 144kw atwThat would mean a 20% transmission loss, which seems low for a 4wd system?
Yup. The dyno is a comparison tool. Numbers are just for bragging rights.... more important is the difference between runs.
74hp and need to add transmission losses to that delta too. But taking that as a margin of error, +75hp over stock is more or less what others are saying. It might vary quite a bit with backpressure (i.e. different exhaust/cat setups) though so good to keep it in consideration...Motive had valve float at 210kw/456nm atw, which is +55kw/74hp from stock. Idk what that is at the engine, you europeans are weird with your bhp's.
Edit: Was 210kw
But they had that because they raised the rev limit.Motive had valve float at 210kw/456nm atw, which is +55kw/74hp from stock. Idk what that is at the engine, you europeans are weird with your bhp's.

Not really. Valve float started at ~6000rpmBut they had that because they raised the rev limit.
Keep the standard limit and you should have no trouble with float.
