I was just in the garage funnily enough, routing through a box of fibre and rubber washers. Think I have some which might be suitable.

This issue has been posted on the US forums now, and someone posted a good close up of the washer in question.
Got me thinking....does anyone have anything with the same parts label attached? Because I think it's probably a fairly standard size. If you could measure it and compare it with this photo, you could get a pretty good idea of the dimensions (apart from thickness, but I imagine its only a couple of mm thick).

I've bitten the bullet and ordered these, should arrive mid September which works fine for me as I'm flat out busy until around that time anyway.

I'm pretty certain they aren't going to be anything special, but once I have them to hand I will post up the dimensions so people can potentially save a few quid.
 
Mid-September isn't so bad a lead time.
Would it be worth adding some more to the order and saving on postage? I'd take a couple if it made it easier, just in case it's not as easy as I thought to get an off the shelf one.

Good call - postage stays at £6.98 whether you order 1 or 50, although posting them on within the UK would probably cost a couple of quid.

Sorry chaps I already put the order through.

2nd class small letter is 87p that is the cheapest way to ship them.

EDIT: I've cancelled the order. I'm willing to bulk buy these and distribute them but I need to figure out how many people would be interested

ZN8: Based on the latest info from Japan, there is now a fix for the window clicking/clunking noise when opening and closing the door. This affects all versions of the GR86 up until the type D version (2025MY) which was not sold here in Europe.

The solution involves fitting a washer on the window regulator mechanism, accessed by removing the door card and vapour barrier, whilst this can be pushed through as warranty its also a relatively straightforward job for those willing to do it. Further details can be found on page 2 of this thread.

For those wanting to tackle this themselves, I will look to buy the washers in bulk to save the postage costs for these 2 small little washers. The price will be £6.50 including postage (UK only, x2 SU003-12334 washers, sent 2nd class letter).

Please respond to the poll at the top of the thread by 1st September as the order will be placed on this date. Expected delivery is around 4 weeks.

@ZN8 how do you want to collect money before you order, just by PayPal Friends and Family?
If so give us your email and I'll send it over. Happy to just send via bank transfer as well, whatever's easiest for you.

I have placed an order for the 20 washers based on the poll results. I've seem PMs coming in, unfortunately I do not have access to the names of those who voted in the poll. So I'm reliant on a bit of honesty to those who contact me being the ones who responded to the poll (should have done a list but never mind).
 
Ansix Auto have posted that they've obtained a lot of these washer and will supply them FoC if you're ordering other stuff from them. They're US based, so obviously not worth ordering from them just to get a free washer, but just on the off chance anyone is buying anything from them and wants to fix the issue, might be worth messaging them.

 
A couple more owners on the US forum have received the washers and fitted them now and report it's sorted the issue, so hopefully this is a conclusive fix. Hope ours arrive soon, I went out this morning and the crack as the window dropped made me wince, it sounds like something is going to snap if it carries on.

No update yet I'm afraid, although they did say end of the month. I'd like to get mine on before the weather gets too grotty.

For those who were in this group buy. I have still not heard from 2 people who committed to this in the poll. For those who haven't contacted me yet, please drop me a PM.
