Athough this strap is great, mine was always a bit flat and not very loop like. Meaning sometimes it could be a bit difficult and hard to get hold of and tug in a rush (fnaar). So I have been in the garage and made modifications!

I await your adulation.
I think this is one of my biggest takeaways of the design, it stays flat so you have nothing to grip on. Maybe making shorter leash, and a plastic ring is better option? Nevertheless, not trying to bump the OP or anything, appreciate any involvement and pursue of making things better. Sometimes, on certain angles it's hard to use it, as the pivot point to close the trunk is fairly high, you need a lot of force at the beginning to truly close it and not just bump it from the lock.

Yeah I did consider something to go inside to keep it open, but to keep costs sensible and prevent anything getting trapped in the boot I decided against it.

Mine sits flat, sometimes I just grab it and pull without opening it up.

The decision on location was using an existing hole. Always some compromises here and there.

Will have a think feedback is welcome 🤗

What I have done is doubled over one end of the strap and put the screw threw that as well. This does open the pull nicely. Hope this helps.

Feedback: It's a brilliant, low-cost, efficient solution which was very easy to fit and is just one of those little changes that makes life more convenient.

I just tend to pull without putting my hand inside, but I suppose if there was a v.2 some may prefer something open to grab.

PS might just be me but I I can't help chuckling at phrases like "something to go inside", "existing hole", "just grab it and pull"...

Hello all, just to say I'm down to my last few and unless demand picks up not planning a new batch.
