Right, so instead of Saturday, I did it all today.

Horns are great, the extra light is immense, have to buy a decoder though, for now on a dedicated button till then, but the light is superb, and everything squeezed in as planned.
Hi, the installation looks great. Do you have the reference or link for the horns? Thanks

Someone mentioned there is a kit similar sound, black color, with Toyota OEM connector, i will look around for the part codes.

And the one i have where you have to get more involved is this: 3AG003 399-801
BTW if the horn kills fuses after connecting it all, get a new relay, ours was a dud, kept killing fuses of any capacity.

Thoughts about the trip, after it. All in all we did 2500 km on our trip, when going slowly on the Braids with narrower tyres, i get 1.5 to 2 liters less doing legal speeds in my country, and drive how you want avarege fuel usage of 9-10 liters, doing like 150-180 km/h on extended periods, the 8 gear and narrower tyres really do wonders for fuel economy, all in all very satisfied that it can be used as a tourer with narrower tyres comparetively cheaply.

Well then, my mudflaps have arrived in Latvia, on top of paying 360 EUR for them with shipping, i just now paid extra 105 eur for tax and VAT.... FFS

Hello.

So yesterday i fitted the mudflaps, they were delivered very late on friday evening.

Started with applying stickers to them, the makers are right, as the mudflaps are out of the box, you can't stick anything to them, paper tape for example comes right off, but after a light scrubbing with either brake cleaner or even better silicone remover, you can glue anything you want to the polyurethane material.

But there was a slight issue on my part i suppose, the manual says that the flaps have a rough and glossy side, both sides are glossy in case of polyurethane. The front i got right, the curvature and hang is perfect, the rear though is curved toward the wheels. 🙈

I guess it could get used to it but I don't love the look, I'll try to switch them and see how it looks, if the curvature is right then ill peel the stickers off. You can't heat and bend this material. And simply tying it to the other side for an hour did nothing as well.

Are the rears really supposed to install like that with the horizontal brackets visible? IIRC, on the gen 1, the horizontal part was neatly hidden between the wheel arch trim and the rear bumper…. Still waiting for my gen2 (arrives next week) and delivery on my MFFs, but I’ll be disappointed if the brackets show like that…

That’s how they fit to avoid drilling as the rear bumper has been redesigned.

Straight from their homepage, you can't really see it unless you duck. I don't mind that aspect at all luckily.

I prefer some discrete mudflaps like those from automotivepassion:
As it gets cold and very snowy, you need elastic and non stick material for cold temperatures, as we often have various rock and debris on the roads decent mudflaps are a must for me in the winter.
Snow coming soon.

I dont want to be driving around like this

When I had same type polyurethane mudflaps on the ST Focus there was no buildup of snow and ice at all.

Ok I didn't think about that, I will check it out this winter (if we get any snow here in Belgium).

I used to get mad build up on my 5 series BMW that the GR Replaced. I may have to invest in some flaps. Cannot wait for snow to do donuts in the work car park and start ski season.

Thanks, I will make sure to paint them black before installing… I did the same for the visible part on the gen 1 and it looks better to me

I did think about doing that but wanted to get them on as the weathers turning.

Picked up some cheap winter wheels and tyres with autel tpms sensors from a previous Yaris owner. Was expecting to have to do some messing around with the TPMS but they worked instantly.View attachment 32346

Sweet! I was actually considering bronze wheels for my grey Yaris too, but wasn’t totally sure about the color match. Seeing yours has me almost fully convinced!
Mind sharing the specs on those Ultraleggeras? Which offset are you running – ET 48 or ET 35?

Edit: Never mind – just spotted your post on Aftermarket wheels thread 👍

People living in the nordics, what did you do in winter for the protection of front bumper and for a skid plate, for the fallen off snow/ice pieces from heavy trucks etc. On the highways or when there is heavy moist snow going on.

People with MK'2s, i know i was looking around the Mk1 catalog badging, but this decal was not present there...

I am talking about the interior WRC vinil badge.

A very nice forum member of ours saw my post in another thread about this and was so nice as to let me know that a friend of his makes them and sells of e-bay. I will put the link to it here if other MK2 members want it as well. I hope he wont mind, but if i spoke Italian i would probably have found it myself !

Some get very emotional about that badge, for me I forgot it even existed for the 4 years I owned mine.
