GR Yaris (Gen 2) Armijs GR YARIS MK2

In typical fashion, off course the damn box decides to start working, blinking and all. We tested it completely, it gives signal etc. Only thing I did was open it up and see and touch around for burns and stuff after trying to power it in various ways, I am just glad it works in the end, but the feeling ain't great đŸ˜…

We found the issue, looks like copper had issues with aluminum the power cable leading to the CANM8 box in the engine bay, the connection was green and dissolved, we remade it, it had some power , but then again it didn't, now everything works again. YAY

Also polished exhaust tips again while i am at it. Waiting for the badge and stickers now, and..... snow..... which looks to come now with one week delay after change in prognosis.

Our Land Cruiser 125 though is ready to plow now though, we finished it on time . Might share a pic some time later when my early 4 o clock mornings start.

Just received my mud-flaps with the same stickers and now I don't know if I'm putting them or not đŸ¤£

Do it like this, they have a natural form, atleast mine did, fronts are easy or i just got lucky the first time check fronts too, but rears are a different thing, take one with two fingers at the very top, lift it in the air and look from the side, where does it naturally want to curve, you want the curve going to the rear of the car ! And the stickers, if you got polyurethane ones be sure to clean the place you want to stick with something like silicone remover or lots of brake cleaner, for pvc they should not be so oily, but same still applies !
 
Well then, had quite the busy last few days, both related to Toyota and Stellantis. Was in Estonia related to that business where i also met up with @Euge over breakfast. Yesterday two good things happened, Ulter messaged me that the exhaust is finally available and gave me a GOOD discount as i was following them on social media and pestering them monthly when is MK2 exhaust here.

And now it finally is, probably will get ordered monday. Also gave us distributor access and a nice discount as we are in the automotive field.

The other good thing that happened was that our Workshop got the award from Stellantis last night as being the best authorised repairer country wide for 2024, beating all the dealers included. So that was nice and uplifting.

Hopefully exhaust gets ordered monday, end of February it might be here then. And afterwards a nice video will follow of comparison stock vs Ulter.
If i wont be able to find a GPF piece as Ulter said as they are offering the MK2 exhaust to Toyota dealers, the GPF delete aint a priority to them, then i will have to search for a GPF delete that is compatible with OEM back end of the exhaust, or have someone make one for me based on the OEM piece as sample, as far as i know Ragazzon for example their GPF delete only works with their backend and not with stock. So if anyone finds a MK2 GPF delete that fits with OEM exhaust backend let me know.

Hello, I have installed the GPF delete Ragazzone , and it is fully compatible with the original or the Milltek.

Small update on things, Ulter back exhaust has been ordered, we are also distributors for their products now.
I also applied and we just now got approved to be distributor for Ragazzon, so GPF delete will also be ordered shortly.

First ill make a high quality comparison how Stock sounds in various ways, then stock back exhaust with only GPF delete, and afterwards, GPF delete with Ulter back exhaust valve closed and open. Cant wait :sneaky:

Let me know if you get the Ragazzon dealer approval.. I might be tempted to get one of those in spring over the ultra as I love the look of the "Group N" style tips they do..

Thanks for help getting one mate.. been struggling to find a place to sell them over here. Well one I could trust anyway and had stock. Not sure the wife will be happy with todays spontaneous order.. but Ill fight that fire when time comes :D

One question, did you get the Ragazzon GPF delete for MK1 or MK2 ?
I have to wait till April

Anyway, this scales my plans for the perfect comparison down a lot. Will be missing the sound of Stock back box + GPF delete that i imagine would be interesting for many, to hear the difference. but oh well, maybe someday if i decide to fit back the OEM back exhaust...
