GR Yaris Alarm Going Off

Mine goes of when I start the M2 up also, there must be a M2 lurking nearby.

This is what I was thinking, but I've parked it there before, in more sun, lower sun, higher sun... 🤔

Was wondering if it could be heat differences in the car triggering the sensors?

So, like, I have first hand experience of this on a Toyota... my Corolla years ago bonnet sensor would get triggered when it got too hot.

No M2 in the vicinity, in either of the locations.

When I disabled the internal alarm sensors, the alarm didn't go off. Would it still go off of it was the bonnet sensor triggering it...? 🤔

I actually am unsure if turning that off would affect the bonnet sensor or not.

As I was quite young I fixed mine the way I fix wobbly tables, a bit of folded up cardboard.

Not sure it would either, so suggests a different cause.

The mozzie?

Alarm hasn't been an issue since early July, so had forgotten about it.

About 10 minutes ago, the alarm started going off with the car on my drive (the horn is quite loud when the alarm goes off...). I went out, car is fine.

Got in the car and sat in the driver's seat to see if anything had moved in the car, or any other reason why the alarm was triggered. Just like Seth Brundle - the issue was a housefly in the car. Bloody sensitive alarm sensor it seems!!

Mine went off at 3 am in work one day last week. Was expecting to find a bug flying round inside but no sign of anything. Never done it before or since , luckily

The time in July was a bloody mozzie though, barely visible when it's not flying around. Surely the alarm shouldn't be that sensitive?
