I have the rear belts clipped in permanently for this reason. No one sits in the back, stops them rattling tooRear Seatbelt warning covers the oil temp for too long. If thats my only gripe then i chose the right car for me
I get this everytime I drive it!Noticed again yesterday, the car goes round roundabouts too well, and so people pull out on you and you nearly hit them.
I used to have them clipped in all the time to stop that light until I started laying the rear seats flat with a full length boot mat hiding them so now I can't have them clipped in or it would leave dents in the leather...I have the rear belts clipped in permanently for this reason. Especially when you nip out in front of someone else, or go round the outside of a ditherer!Noticed again yesterday, the car goes round roundabouts too well, and so people pull out on you and you nearly hit them.
Today I realised I don't have any issues with blind spots at all because of the digital mirror I installed early on (which solves all the other rear view mirror woes too). That rear camera is pretty wide angle (and keeps suprsingly clean behind the roof antenna), and before cars disappear from the side window they show up in the rear view "mirror" already. That is, no blind spots at all. Can really recommend. Not much to be honest.
Probably the biggest one for me is rear visibility, particularly the rear corners.
There have been a few instances where i actually couldn't see pulling out of angled intersections.
Also the rear view mirror is an issue.
Yeah had mine 3 yrs 28k! No rattles, only the rubber door seals are starting to crack, these are under warranty! Not got rattles from mine, and that's after 30k miles. If something's rattling on mine, it's something I've put there, or it's my aging bones.
Three years on, the car still gets comments and thumbs up from others. Getting stopped to talk about the car is such a headache (I'm joking of course!).
Take it to your Toyota dealership, surely they should sort this under the warrantySteering column had created some kind of squak sound when turning - maybe add some silicone spray there or what would you recommend?
This damn hood prop! Every time I open the hood the stick keeps slipping out of my hand and bangs around in the engine compartment!
Contender for worst hood stick in my book![]()
