GR Yaris ðŸ‘Ž Negatives - what annoys, disappoints, puzzles and generally irks you about the GR Yaris?

If you are talking about what I think you are it is the overspeed tolerance on cruise set speed. You will need to navigate through the menus because it is 2 years since I did mine. And that was about 5km from the dealer on the side of the road with the sales guy talking me through the menus! I asked for everything to be off but I think they forgot or it was policy to leave all that annoying shit on. Being told to obey road rules everytime I went over the limit had already worn me out!!

I've been through the menus and all of mine are set to visual only.

but it still beeps

I haven’t touched any of the factory settings in the menus but mine doesn’t beep!

back in the old days car could be moved with the starter motor, starting in gear.
In case of being stuck on railway crossing with faulty engine it could be useful treat. But Toyota trusts its engineering that much that it has been skipped from the feature list.
I’m not even sure you can push our cars with them in neutral, I know you’re not supposed to tow them with any wheels on the road as it knackers the diffs.

So much friction in the drivetrain you probably need a couple of strongmen to move it. Or a fast moving train.

Try this...

Central missionary position (or display if you prefer).

Setup.
Navigation
Detailed navigation settings - scroll three pages
Speed limit settings (enter by touching the words)

Screen looks like this: I leave the toll road indication on because every one of ours has sneaky speed cameras and the tunnels slope down at the start and it is easy for the car to run away. Otherwise off. Check your settings.

If it is something else then your car is possessed and must be given away to a little old granny who only races on weekends at Brands Hatch.

I wasn't aware of those & will have a look later.

The warnings from the cruise system are related to the speed you have the cruise set to, not the speed of the road (which can be rather different)

The only almost relevant thing in the manual is related to road sign assist

We're talking about the beep when you're on cruise, going down hill and the car goes over the speed you've set?

I've yet to find a way to turn it off on the 3 toyotas I've had that does it...

That's the one.

This is a whole new genre! Lol you can't start blaming the car for peoples bad habits!!

It needs a new thread for that!! :ROFLMAO:

I am definitely not starting that thread, could get very messy!!
