And some bikes - I found myself being held up by a couple of bikers over some twisties. Not much in it but it definitely didn't take long to catch back up to them after they escaped ahead with their ease of overtaking.
 
Back after a prolonged hiatus from the other forum. Resonance between 2500-2800rpm is still present so limiting myself to 3rd gear regardless of road speed. MPG is suffering as a result...
 
I just drove the car on snow for the first time(2900km's on the clock) and it feels incredible. Now if I compare it to my CLA 4Matic I would say the Merc's awd, open diffs, horrible traction control system, autobox combination is a total FAIL. Well, I knew it was going to be good but the gr-four+diffs is the biggest positive for me. I Can't wait for more snow and ice now. :)
 
I'd love some snow in the UK but with global warming winters have got warmer and warmer :(

Was discussing this today with a friend, he went from the last 2 generations A45 to a Focus RS and says the AWD is on a different level on the focus.
 
It has simply the best heated steering wheel I've ever had on a car. Gets toasty hot within seconds, just what you need when it's cold. No metallised parts near your hands either so no big heat sinks <cough>Audi<cough>Jaguar<cough>

Nothing worse than waiting two minutes for one to reach barely more than skin temperature and for it never to get much warmer than that <cough>Audi again<cough>

I've thrown out my heated seats, UK owners must think that I'm crazy! It's really all about what you want out of the car.
 
The heat in the heated seats are the worst I've ever tried, and every single car here gets them so that's not a good report card. Agree on the heat in the steering wheel though @Duke

Can you just not just, you know, leave them switched off?

The not-switch-them-on approach works well in both our Mazda and out Skoda...
 
I mean, maybe he just wanted to lower the seat a bit and it was a sacrifice willing to be met :D
 
Some reactions really are funny. There was an modified Audi waiting in a line of traffic as I came off a roundabout and clearly recognised the GR, he'd opened his window and stuck his head out like a dog to get a good look 😂

Most other reactions are far more subtle.

Still amazed so many performance car owners don't seem to know what it is. Had a C43 try to sneak past at a set of traffic lights, still unsure if he realises what happened

Yes, there isn't much difference between low and high and they never really get 'hot'

Whereas the Tesla next to me at a roundabout the other day knew exactly what it was. I didn’t get involved as it obviously outdragged me, just consoled myself with the fact that I’d have been ahead had we been able to take the roundabout without stopping.

I did a Nissan Leaf at a roundabout once. He definitely wasn’t expecting it, caught him in the rear view mirror spitting his muesli all over his knitted cardigan.

I certainly could have done that lol! It's just that I really wanted lower seats and bucket seats just felt so right to me in this car 😁
