GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

Recd my ballot entry but have decided not to enter. Good luck to those enthusiasts who have entered. Just sold my GR86 nice car but I found it far too loud on a motorway. Too much tyre and suspension noise hopefully the mk2 Yaris will be better but GR86 experience has put me off. A bit left...

GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

I keep looking at it but Yes I think that’s right struggling with the price let’s see what the final total is with paint wheels etc etc. would need to buy for cash as finance rates likely to be too high

GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

Buying a Toyota GR product does seem to require the buyer to be very patient and not expect much information. In the U.K. add in the lack of a dealer and it can become an exhausting process. My experience of say BMW M cars via a top dealer was seamless the GR86 was a trial of endurance as to...

GR86 No gel coat inside door ?

Noticed on a red car I was looking at when you open the door there is no gel coat on inside of frame. Is this normal dealer seemed to think so

GR Yaris (Gen 2) Process for purchase

Interesting how many different settings did you try with the adjustable traction control. It does have 460bhp! I found it had plenty of wet grip on my test drive. If you get the traction settings correct. Chris Harris reckons one of the best cars for the money.

GR Yaris (Gen 2) Process for purchase

Coming to the conclusion £50k inc paint etc for the Yaris is just too much. Think Toyota has gone from one extreme to the other between mk1 and Mk2. Something like a new M2 with 460bhp can be had for £60k with discount

GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

From memory on 31 May 2022 they sent an email to everyone on the waiting list saying the orders were now closed. There were two buttons to reply if you wished to stay on the wait list or come off it

GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

Looking at the Honda type R they are not holding their value that well so we can expect the GR to depreciate and probably settle around £39995 after a few months as we will see a bigger allocation in 2025. Interest rates will be lower in 2025 so finance costs will be less. If you need to buy on...

GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

Quite a clever way to thin down the numbers for a limited number of cars. Massive price increase Ballot restricted to those who have previously purchased or were on a wait list If they offer finance it will be at top rates So initial cars probably aimed at cash buyers ?

GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

Copy and paste for Toyota UK. Add price £45000 and £47500 for auto and job done. Wonder why it takes them so long?

GR Yaris (Gen 2) GR Yaris Mk2 (MY2024->)

Can’t see there being a big rush to buy these at £45/48k. Ok if you have spare cash but finance rates will put most buyers off from trading up from mk1. Say £25k trade in on mk1 plus another £20k of cash or finance makes it a challenge. As for speculators who might ask £50k on the first...
