Cleaned the car today- nice to see it shiny again!
In other news a lump of mystery motorway debris struck the bonnet and left a scar. Not sure but looks like it’s down to the metal? Wondering if/ how I’ll get that seen to.
Just got a call from the dealer in response to my question - they confirmed they have the filter on the shelf allocated and ready for my first service next week! Fingers crossed, I’ll keep you posted.
Im afraid to mention which dealer in case it gets looted for such sought after merchandise!
Quick coffee stop at Daikoku Nights at C&M the Hill on the way back from Stratford. Always enjoy seeing the OG86 too.
A couple of other GR86s on show - red and sapphire blue on very smart Enkei wheels 👌
I’m maxing out on car shows at the moment while the weather is decent. This weekend it was the Broadway car show in the Cotswolds
Great to see other folks’ GR86 and GRY making the very exclusive high end shortlist and featured in the show.
First time I’ve seen the bola alloys - sensational on...
At Broadway car show great to see the joy from a young lad shouting and pointing across a car park - “Dad, dad, it’s a Supra!”
And he was spot on, pointing at the GR Supra that followed my 86 into the car park, ignoring all the Porsches, Mustangs and McLarens. Good lad!
Supercars Sunday at Prescott hill climb in the Cotswolds
Sunny day watching some expensive metal blast up the hill.
No GRs taking on the hill - our “super car” isn’t classed as a “supercar” by the organisers!
Still, reminded of the incredible value in smiles per mile we get from our...
Caffeine and Machine the Hill, meeting my bro in his MX5 RF. Parked next to a lovely red GT86. Nice silver GR86 nearby too and a couple of GRYs spotted.
Maybe it’s positive vibes from the nicer weather but the car keeps feeling better and better now its over 4k miles.
Red 86 🚘 looking sharp coming the other way in Darley Dale in Derbyshire - on my way home from a drive out. I gave the full arm-out-the-window wave - thanks for returning the wave!👋
Off work and a couple of day trip / road trips.
Horseshoe pass at Llangollen in Wales. Picturesque short route (40 limit). Pause at Ponderosa cafe. A488 from Shrewsbury to Snead was a fun drive on my route to get there too.
Then another sunnier day drove Woodhead and Snake passes in the Peak...
Back home after a break in Norfolk.
Enjoyed a few fun drives, highlights including Sheringham to Wells next the Sea, and Southwold to Cromer.
Such fun to drive! This is just the kind of trip I bought this car for! The lightweight and naturally aspirated engine are so sharp.
Traffic generally...
Good spot @Mute101 thanks. Yes gravel in the arches definitely happens a lot (a proper flat drive is the next investment after the kitchen) - but this time was much louder and metallic sounding - appreciate all the comments
