Over on the US forums I'm sure I read a bunch of people talking about topping up the distilled water in the batteries as a way of keeping them alive longer, despite the manual saying no need. Probably a typical case of 'I know better than the company'.
Couldn't agree more - I do use mine as my daily driver :p
I've decided 3rd gear is my favourite. So good for roundabout exits/slip roads joining dual carriageways. 2nd gear is a bit too rapid and needs a change at the top end, but if you can roll on from about 20mph you get to enjoy a nice...
There's also a race version of the GR Corolla. But I like that comment about bringing GR models to the market place - would be a shame to be making the Corolla here but not selling it.
That's dependant on the sensor reporting the position so that the tool can register it.. if you're saying the pedal sensor does indeed report values for the whole reach of travel then amazing. I'd have expected it not to bother, given so much isn't used and it adds tolerance not to.
The graphs look less linear, not more - even more torque demand at the start of the travel and then it somehow gets less as the travel goes past about 55% - that would be horrendous so I can't believe it's in anyway accurate.
You won't have nearly the steering angle at 60mph.. unless you're on a track. Also by dint of being in a higher gear there's less torque at the wheels, so traction loss is less likely. I've had diff-related wiggles up to about 40mph which was enough to catch your attention.
I did a rally...
It's certainly keen to rotate under power with lock on. I've only had one surprise on the straight though, and that was probably road surface induced - it is easy to assume the lack of torque requires no extra attention but yes, grip levels are down compared to similarly tyred cars.
My thoughts exactly. If the car can actually report throttle position beyond the current 50% or so of range and this tool can use that range then fantastic. If it's just altering the curve within the same range then I can see some benefit, but not as much.
