The auto gearbox likely saps a bit more power than the manual.

T Very expensive, but they look ace! I can enter 6 club track events for the price of an Eventuri intake!

This Aussie tuner has done gen 2 GRY. I don't think the results will vary significantly between gen 1 and 2 for manual cars.

No noticeable lag with the Airtec intercooler, it did reduce the severity of heat soak in traffic in hot weather. Engine bay heat is an issue with this car, just because of the packaging. I now have an ecutek tune, and I can't imagine running that with the stock intercooler.

Nice car! I have similar mods, plus an aftermarket intercooler which helps mine a lot in hot Australian weather.

GR Yaris GR Yaris from France

I feel that the rear gets too light over 200 km/h with the OEM battery on track, but each to their own. Best option for me would be a lighter battery and aftermarket rear wing to increase downforce a bit.

That power sounds about right for your mods. Valve springs protect the valve train in the event of over revs. If you don't over rev it at that power level it's not a concern at all.

GR Yaris opinion of getting the audio upgraded

I used the crossovers as they came on the Focal fronts and tweeters, they sound fine. I left the stock mid connected in place. I have ANC (and ESE) turned off, as I couldn't hear the tyres properly when near the edge of grip on the track...

GR Yaris opinion of getting the audio upgraded

The front Focals were a big improvement over the stock JBL fronts. I suppose if you fitted insulation it would remove 'some' of the road noise.

GR Yaris Data Logging for Trackdays

It sounds as though you're at the point where far more investment is required if you wish to take things further. I was disappointed when I realised I couldn't get brake data from the OBD.

GR Yaris Data Logging for Trackdays

p.s. you'll be surprised at the amount of valuable information you can get from the OBD port (such as air intake temperature). I suggest starting with the simple setup I described above and go from there.

GR Yaris Data Logging for Trackdays

It really depends how far you want to go. Simple setup: OBD reader (such as the cheap ELM327) and Bluetooth app to show real time outputs on entertainment unit via Car play/Android Auto. Note that on the GRY brake pressure is not available via OBD. Next level: As above but use a dedicated GPS...

GR Yaris opinion of getting the audio upgraded

I fitted the front ISTOY165 Focals (mid and tweeter) and it improved the sound significantly over the stock JBL speakers. I enjoy listening to music and I couldn't live with the standard system. One of the bolt holes in the mids needs slightly elongating to fit correctly (just use a drill). It...

GR Yaris (Gen 2) Recommend me a dash cam please

Miofive 4k, probably get it for 50 quid. Has lots of the features of more expensive models, I fitted it myself.

I printed this camera holder and mounted it to the passenger seat, it fits really well. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6536419

The actual single OEM unpainted top bonnet skin (without all of the underneath insulation and fittings) is relatively cheap from Toyota. I know a few people that bought this part, fitted vents to it and simply bolted it on. Cost of the part is around AUD$500/GBP 250.

I should also mention that I find the 'flat foot shifting' ecutek racerom feature very handy on track. Racerom also provides launch control and rolling launch (anti lag) - I've tried them both but I don't have much need for those features. I was skeptical of flat foot shifting at first, but as...

    GR Yaris The EcuTek thread

This is the standard way that the ECU deals with a heat-soaked engine bay (restricting boost and decreasing timing). Us Aussies know about this only too well, where summer air temperatures reach over 40c. The worst heat soak occurs in hot weather at slow speed (i.e. in traffic). It's rarely...

    GR Yaris The EcuTek thread

I'm loving it. The power increase is very noticeable in 3rd gear and above (the ECU restricts boost in 1st-2nd). The power is now very respectable on track. I didn't notice any difference in temps on track pre and post tune.
