GR Yaris What did you do to your GR Yaris today?

Tws rs339 8.5j (+45) rims and Bridgestone RE-71RZ in 235. Since that's the grmn size and Toyota Japan offers a gr parts rim/tyre combo in that size/offset it seemed like the right choice for a road car. Does seem like most go right to a 9/9.5j on a 255+

Massive upgrade over the stock ps4s in both feel and performance which were just too soft for any hard driving.
Kept the factory bbs rims for winter on michelin x-ice. Got a few things coming next week
I am on 10j with 255 and for me optically it seems like right amount of rubber and wheel. the stock size looked lost insight the wheel wells.
I agree with you on the ps4s. the tire was hyped by seemingly every car journalist out there but I was disappointed how weak the side walls were. I only keep the stock wheels on when inspection is due for the car

Went back to the summer wheels, I'm gonna miss the Sparco's, they really grew on me and made the car look a bit more "mine", if that makes any sense 😄.

Changed the plugs at work while I had a quiet half hour. 45,000km on these plugs. Definitely the right time to change. Will start changing every 20-30k in the future. Picked them up for 17 euro a plug.

Start up and idle way smoother and not lumpy as before. Looking forward to the drive home.

I got some lumpy idle sometimes and had a few harder startups too. Just tried some liqui moly direct injection cleaner, let's see if it improves it a little, otherwise I have a set of hks spark plugs ready to go.
Read somewhere in the forum the maintenance schedule had some injector cleaner at every 20k km if I recall.

@Armijs has been banging in fuel additive to keep things tip top. I think I might start doing same. Plugs are a piece of piss to do if you have a long thin walled 14mm 12point magnetic plug socket and a 150mm extension bar. Torque specs are 18nm for plug and 10nm for coil pack. To move the plastic trunking for access to coil 2 and 3, remove the one 10mm bolt on right securing it, and it clips off the bracket of the left with 3 bolts (you don't need to remove bolts on that bracket)

Always has been. Had Iridium plugs before on a Colt CZT which had them scheduled at 100.000kms which is overly optimistic. Just change them yearly and be fine. I dont know if the Rotheli engine blown up was due to spark plugs but why risk it for a maintenance part which costs a fraction of a new engine.

Thanks mate. They are Rallyflapz, not to difficult to fit other than getting the rear ones angled right. The quality isn’t too bad. @Sticky does the graphics https://www.chevronsdirect.co.uk/collections/toyota-gr-yaris
Thanks for the plug (y)

Did you replace the rear glass to fit the wing?

It's on my wish list, just think it's a bit of a ballache removing the bleeding window, and was wondering if it is an absolute must, or if it can be 'chanced' without a change.

I may have to look into creating some decals to fit into the GR-Four recess on those end plates.

No need to replace the window! No need to chance anything either, all the correct parts required for an “as factory” installation are available.
