I am considering changing my 5 year old GR Yaris Gen 1 for a new Gen 2 Aero car. Whilst the Gen 1 has some annoying safety features, they are easily disabled with the initial finger dance familiar to many here and the warning for going over a speed limit is a simple change of colour on the speed...
Difficult to say exactly as I had it done alongside my 42 000 mile service. I dropped the car off at 0900 and picked it up at 1400. How much of that time was service and how much upgrade is anybody’s guess.
Following on from my 25 September post. Man maths won the day and I had the software upgrade done alongside my 42 000 mile service yesterday. I went for: accelerator quick, steering heavy and 45/55 FWD. I will report back after I have driven it for a while. Initial impression on the 40 minute...

I have a gen 1 car with 38000 miles on the clock which I am perfectly happy with. By chance, I was contacted yesterday by my local Toyota garage (Listers of Lincoln) where I bought my car from new. They were offering a gen 2 in grey. The salesman quoted list price of £470000 ish but we didn’t...
Similar but slightly different issue - suggestions welcome. I had bird poo on the standard piano black spoiler on my GRY. After removal there is a mark that looks like the top layer of gloss has been etched off. It’s not a large area but I would like to sort if possible.
Hi. Is the repair invisible from the driver position? The reason I ask is I picked up a very small (3mm) chip on my GRY windscreen. It is a slight distraction but if a repair would still be visible I probably won’t bother having it repaired.
For the record I could not justify (not just financially but morally as well) in replacing a working headlight unit so I had the break glued and not replaced. It has been fine since.
