Just to report back on this. Left the GR86 at home on holiday mode where one cancels the keyless entry (explained in the short user manual). After a month the car started immediately. The battery meter was showing 14 volts which is as good as it gets. So far I’m happy with battery drainage...

Reading to Guildford using A roads some local traffic, loads of roundabouts and short motorway : 42mpg. Typical mixed route where I live. Total 60 miles return trip. As close to real life test it can get. I was always at max speed limit on all roads.

I have the auto no problems with mine, I assume the slush box buffers some of the effect. I leave it in auto when the engine is cold.
