GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

The ones with the black coloured spoilers are Trueno editions, so they come with the Brembo brake package and different Sachs dampers.
Ah ok. I opted for a black ducktail on mine. I was a bit “shall I shan’t I” originally. Think it looks good imo.

I took mine to Tintern Abbey. Some lovely roads around that area. And some not so lovely speed camera vans conveniently placed just as you leave national speed limit zones. Oddly not one near schools, hospitals or areas where actual dangers to the public exist.

Last Friday, I took the time and gave the GR86 a proper wash. Followed by a windscreen polish and sealant with glaco compound roll on and glaco dx.

The picture is from the next day when I took my parents dog for a walk.

On Sunday it rained again and I could admire the effekt of a sealed windscreen, marvellous.

Personally it's great, it was a lot of change in one go. Correct alignment, camber plates on the front and the springs. The steering feels effortless and the car is much more stable.

Comfort wise, compared to what i've gained i'm really happy. It's still a tradeoff but the downsides were not as bad as i braced myself for. It's a similar experiance to stock with the exception that those moments when you feel a poor road are more frequent.

I am not one for aftermarket wheels but those look great tbh. I wonder if the PS5s feel better than PS4s. Maybe hard to tell within the context of the scale of upgrades in one go.

Thanks, looks good. What camber plates did you go for?

What HKS system is that please? Do you know what the noise level is like?
Hi Matt, bit of an update on the Spec 2.
The mechanic who installed it said that it went on easily and that it didn’t need any adjustments or tweaking.
Noise wise, I would say that it’s very similar in normal use to the standard system with the artificial noise generator activated.
Cold start is louder, slightly louder at 2-3 k revs when accelerating gently; No drone on steady throttle at 70.
Nicer ‘rasp’ when pushing on.
Saved 4.85kg from the stock system.
All in all, very pleased with it
