Mine's a little different because I asked for it to be delayed for September delivery, but it landed 23rd June and it was all quiet until last week when I got the driveaway insurance email.
Then yesterday TOL rang to say it was arriving at the dealer, and I've since had the payment request and the dealer also rang to confirm they've got it, and to book the handover (6th September).
So, yeah, you don't hear anything until it's imminent.
 
Mine has now updated saying on VOT that it is at Derby on transit to my dealership but I haven't had anything contact wise about payment etc.

All I have had is the missed spam calls about the survey.

Everything will happen when it's ready. You will hear from them one way or the other, chill relax and enjoy the journey to the handover.
 
My Magnetite MT arrived in Portbury on Monday, (ship docked around 10 on Sunday night, not that I was constantly tracking its journey up the Bristol Channel!)
Now the wait until it gets to the dealer,, it’s going to be a long wait until the middle of Sept! (which I appreciate is nothing compared to what those on the 1st batch went through!.)
Not sure when to change the plate on my curent car to give enough time for the V5 to arrive before the GR arrives at the dealer.

I was given a reg number last Tuesday, but nothing since, shows as being at Derby.

Hoping for 1st September, although Motorway won't collect my part ex until 30th☹️.
 
Has anyone else on here used the Chelmsford Toyota dealership?

Hopefully picking my car up from there early Sept. They’re not my closest Toyota dealer but they are the closest GR dealer.

Any feedback welcome.

I went and had a look at the demo vehicle they had. The guy showing around seemed interested in the cars and was happy for me to arrange a test drive even though I was collecting my car from Colchester.

I am expecting early September delivery. Magnetite Grey MT. Car currently at the Derby site. They estimated 25/08 at the dealer. I have requested it is registered on a 73 plate. 👍
 
My Sapphire Blue ordered 14th July. Rolled off production line 14th August.
Onboard the Morning Caroline heading to the Suez Canal. Online originally estimated 20th October. My TOL courtesy call said sometime September

Mine also due at dealer 7th September, tried to sort out drive home insurance but Toyota declined me 🤣. So need to sort my own policy once it lands to drive home, not bothered though as I've heard Toyota quote 2-3x more than most insurance companies anyway 🤡.

I’m being told the sensors are currently unavailable to add.

Hi. I thought about it but then decided no to. I didn't like the idea of the dealer drilling holes in the bumper 😳
The main reason for me personally is dealer fit sensors sit proud of the bodywork, whereas factory fit are flush. I decided I didn't like the look.

As an FYI I was told the warning beeps are not directional just audible regardless of where the obstacle is behind you. There is no graphic linked to the reversing camera.

So I decided to keep it old school. Fingers crossed 🤞

£600 inc. VAT for non-flush rear sensors and available - according to Inchcape Guildford.

Front sensors not available.

I’ll be waiting to see the quality of installation on other GR86’s before I make a decision. If they only provide an audio signal with no graphic linked to the reversing camera I’m disinclined to bother.

BTW Seems expensive - can we harness GR-Zoo to track servicing, parts and accessory installation charges around the UK and encourage Toyota into some consistent/competitive pricing?
