GR86 GR86 Delivery Tracking and Collection thread

Tracker updated to Derby today.

So that's exactly 2 weeks spent in Bristol since docking.

My dealer is trying to track down an expected date now.

No as I think they look horrid on the rear bumper. I reverse 44 tonne artics daily without rear view camera's, sensors and sometimes even without mirrors!

Camera is more than adequate in my opinion.
 
I was passing dealer and thought I would pop in to check if they had an update.

Found it had arrived and they can make it ready for collection on 1st September :-)

Just need to pay and check TOL are OK with this.

Noticed a lovely looking black GR86 at Inchcape Basingstoke - all factory stickers and protection in place but the first time I have seen one in the flesh.
Dimensions look ideal for B-Roads and a peak through the glass suggests the interior will exceed my expectations.

I spoke to TOL and they are aware of this happening and have flagged up the issue.

I was not alone in being concerned by the apparent back tracking.

Pleased to see the Saphire Blue in the sunshine, looks really nice, I may have to get White wrap removed though p-)

The dealer asked if I wanted it cleaned, as others have asked that this is not done, but Im not going down the detailing route.
 
Mine has arrived, is in the dealer compound and will be ready for collection on the 1st. Less than a month after I ordered. Think that’s the quickest I’ve ever had a new car.
 
The app on mine updated to show it at Derby today and I had email from TOL for ‘ anticipated delivery mid September’

Mine back tracked also today to Portbury on the tracker, but I got an email and app alert at 5:30pm saying it has arrived at the dealer, so hopefully they will call me tomorrow.
I'd recommend going for a new car detailing and ceramic coating, it's only £500, those dark blues are a nightmare to keep clean and swirl free.
My current car is a similar colour, looks clean for a few hours then dust ruins it.
 
Almost a full year since I was supposed to take delivery of my black GR86, there is some good news.

I had to cancel last time, which I have obviously thought about a lot since. I did manage to get a lovely MX5 (NC2) instead which has been great.

Having been on the waiting list for a few months since the second batch was announced and having heard nothing from ToL, I decided to re-register on the website for any updates, a suggestion I had seen on Pistonheads. Lo and behold, last night at about 5pm I got the email from Toyota inviting me to buy another car!

So it's costing me 10% more than it would have done, but I have now 'requested to order' a grey GR86 :cool:

So @Banksy and @byebyeMX5 - it looks like there could be three in Saffron Walden after all!

They lost my name from the list so I had to re-register, which worked.

Have you got the colour you wanted? If not, write to them with your order details and explaining the dates you registered (not the first time which you cancelled), the fact they lost your order, and say you'd like to take a cancellation on any specific colour.

I was eventually able to change my order.
 
Thanks. I did email them a couple of months ago to ask if I was on the waiting list as I hadn't heard anything, but they refused to tell me if I was or not!

I'd decided against black after test driving a black one, but wasn't really set on any colour after that, so grey is good for me. I was very tempted by red but decided to keep it stealthy instead.

My dealer was not able to see my car on normal system. Apparently a system called Compass is used by Totota that dealer can see and the ORCA ref number is the one to use.
