GR86 Which colour to order?

I’m planning on getting some of the little black decals for posts next to the boot like the limited edition orange one in the US. Someone on here has bought them (3rd party, Toyota don’t sell them) and look good. Hope the quality is good enough to ensure British weather 😣
Some of these?

Exactly! These are the only ones I’ve seen, so I hope the quality is good. Anyone know if they are matt or gloss on the ‘real’ thing? They look matt to me in the photos I have seen of the car, but not sure.
Would appreciate opinions.

Exactly what I had done. Squinting on an iPhone, early AM. 🤦‍♂️
Easily done. :)

To be fair, the perceived mismatch on the white (with protective wrapping) isn't far off the bonnet/bumper mismatch on my old (Frozen white) Ford Focus ST...

I don’t think it’s perceived. Toyota paint on plastic parts vs metal has always been dubious. Even on other colours.

White still looks great with the black wheels.

Yeah i do like a white but just put off by the potential for some off colour panels (especially if i add the spoiler). I think i am leaning towards the red, i managed to see a grey in the flesh today and it was nice. Man choosing a colour from the limited selection now is tough.

If I were adding a spoiler to the white, I think I'd add a black one:

What's your current position - have you received an email with an offer to buy?

Oh that's ok then - so you already picked the colour when you paid your deposit, but now you have to confirm.

You've seen the Grey, but can you get to a local dealer to see the red and white?
Nope, been to 3 "local" dealers and none of them had red or white either as a demo or awaiting collection. Even checked local autotrader but nothing that was close enough or that i could see today as it was my only chance. Never pulled the trigger on a car without first seeing it in the flesh so i am a little nervous about it.

Well if the worst comes to the worst, and you don't like it, you can return it for a full refund.

What are your thoughts - pros and cons of the colours you're considering?

I do like white cars (had a couple before) but i am worried about panel's not looking the same because i know as soon as i see it if it isn't right it will drive me mad, but with white and black wheels i do think it suits the car's shape. I also like the 86 with the spoiler so would prefer to get this fitted but having seen some pictures of the different colour of that it does worry me.

With the red i worry it is too loud, i am not as young as i wish i was these days so it might be a bit too much but some of the pictures i have seen make it look great and then others it looks dull. This is why i like to see it in the flesh.

Grey looks good and maybe the safest option for me personally, the demo i saw today in Grey was all scratched and didnt show it off in the best light to be honest.

First world problems eh? What colour have you got?

Here is the demo car I tried.. not a great day when I had it but I loved the colour (and I’m a City fan) SWMBO said it was too flashy for a 60 year old man 🙄

They may help you to make a decision..

I have to say, from seeing two in the flesh (metal?) in different conditions; dull, the red is not.
