Anyone else on initial drive think the Mode button next to the heating was THE Mode button only to discover it was for the air direction :D. I asked the sales guy and he initially thought that was it as well.

I agree Paul I like black but with the wheels it's just too much black for me as well.
 
If you’ve got the stomach to maintain the black paintwork (I know I don’t) then perhaps have the wheels refinished in a dark silver or something like satin Neodyme ?

Afternoon all,

My order is now confirmed. :) very poor p/x valuation so think I will look for an alternative way to sell my Leon. Couldn't see BSM on the spec.

Got another email asking me log into My Toyota > My Vehicles > Confirm Identity. I'm normally OK with IT but can't figure this out anyone any tips? Thanks all.

Certainly present on my manual car, no clue if they would have removed it from the spec on this “new” batch.

I can’t imagine they will have. I think many of the spec variances/questions we’ve seen crop up seem to stem from market version differences and someone at TUK, presumably the marketing department poorly communicating spec from automatic transmission versions across both AT/MT models.

I wonder if your get the same reversing sensors freebie as 1st batch owners had.

The spec we ordered from included self dimming cabin mirror and sensors, so TUK gave in a bit and retro fitted reversing sensors to any that wanted them (not all did).

Just got the email giving me the chance, I was not ready or expecting that as I thought I was slow to join the waiting list last year. Now I've got 5 days to decide whether to sell my beloved MR2 towards it or to keep it going 😓

Hi mate
My email took me by surprise as well. I wasn't expecting to get the opportunity to order, having mulled it over I am going to swop my Leon FR for the GR. I also have an MR2 (Rev 3) which I will hang on for the time being.
Try to get a Test Drive if you can, there are similarities with the MR2 (especially the Mk2), the steering is very similar, pointy and lots of low torque, the seating position and major controls are similar to. I think some of the interior touchy bits could have been better (e.g. interior door handle and seat adjuster) and the plastics in general don't feel as good as in the MR. Toyota online called me and expected delivery is end of Sept at the moment.

Sold my GR Yaris last week. Doubt I’ll use this car to be fair and be in the same boat and think the flippers are all for sale now so that’s ships sailed too

I cancelled my Ice Silver yesterday. Was due mid to late August.

Great colour choice, and yes, front and rear mats are included (GR logo on the front ones - or maybe it's just the driver's with the logo I can't remember! My excuse - I don't sit in the passenger seat...).

Good luck in deciding - no doubt you'll have much motoring pleasure whichever you decide.

(My thoughts - you won't get another chance to have a brand new GR86, and it will be difficult to get one in the future. Seize the day my friend!)
