GR86 What did you do with your GR86 today

So, been out for a blast with my lad today, making the most of this lovely weather. When we got back we took a picture of me in the car next to the barn at our farm to replicate a picture of my late father in his car in the same spot 50 years ago. He had more hair than me 😂…..View attachment 17092
Fantastic - you could frame that and put it on a wall.

Looking well @stephen1612 no messing about.

Couple of questions if you don’t mind:

How do the KW’s ride?
Will this be your daily?

Hopefully see you out and about, I get mine on Friday.
They ride really well, haven't messed about with the settings yet, but out of the box they are very good, slightly stiffer from stock. The GR isn't my daily, have an Octavia VRS for the daily stuff. It does most things well, but it makes me appreciate the GR even more anytime I jump into it again.

Great pics @stephen1612 - and looks like a top drive up the coast. Cool to meet you guys at C&C
Nice meeting you too John, hopefully see both of yas about over the Summer

Today I wondered what these little slots are for between the starter button and steering column..

Just had a fantastic early morning drive on some of my favourite twisty roads. It really is a lovely car to drive on these types of roads. I wasn't going crazy and it still feels great. Windows half open, wind coming in, hearing the noises of the countryside and a big smile on my face. 🙂

Probably only took it up to 5500-6000rpm and held momentum through the corners, being able to feel the chassis underneath me and just drove it really smoothly. Christ, I could drive it all day like this. 🥰

I'll be taking mine to a weekly 'car meet' near Fleet this evening for the first time, its technically a classic car meet at the local pub but they're happy for newer interesting things to join in.

then the 86 goes off to PPF this evening for full front cover. I've also bought a chip repair paint from these guys https://www.paintnuts.co.uk/ which the PPF chap recommended and will sort the few chips it already has prior to PPF. Going to add the wing mirrors to it as had no idea they're actually painted and not black plastic!

Oof. You have the HKS single exit don't you?
That's fair enough though. At least they've been polite and up front.

I like your nails.

Also, that's a very polite note. I wouldn't be a dick about it
Yeah, this. If you know who left the note, I'd confront them, say you didn't realise it was loud and that you'll park the other way...but ask them for a bit of consideration in return by not obstructing your drive. Lifes too short to be constantly worrying about bad neighbours.

I agree.

The wording outlines the problem, how it affects them and asks to do something slightly differently which should be no extra effort.

Also, to minimise impact I drive off gently as soon as the engine has started. Don't idle for 5 minutes like some people do.
