Consider changing the transfer box oil too.

It's approximately as small a box as the rear diff one, should be a small additional cost and the flushed oil tends to come out almost as filthy as the one from the rear diff.

So, definitely worth changing early, in my opinion.

I had no idea they didn’t change the air filter at every service, scandalous as you say…

It certainly can’t do any harm to change them as often as you like, but for normal road use the recommended service intervals are probably fine. Changing them gets added to the £300/£450 service cost, making it a pretty expensive annual service cost.

Hi, The only reason i do it super early is to flush out any swarf and gasket shite that might be hanging around in there after assembly doing damage over x 1000miles before scheduled service . The oil itself im sure is great for shear and all that good stuff. my feellng is that service intervals like most things in life are compromises .., its a luxury to own a new car , especially this one so im going to go gag ga over it - hurrah! ( I am of course assuming the garage changed the oil ;)

Personally its worth it as i hope he will see me out . Sure. I would like to save cash and change the oils myself as i do normally , but Its all part of the deal of running a new car whilst im paying for it to keep warranty intact . When he gets to a certain age I will look forward to self service . Hope this helps your budgeting .

Where did you have it serviced at out of interest?
 
Do they still change the clutch and brake fluid every 2 years/12000 miles or is it just an inspection.

Brake & clutch fluid is due for:
  • Inspection every 6k miles / 6 months
  • Replacement every 24k miles / 2 years

That’s what my service book states
Had my 2 year 12,000 mile service and all they did was inspect it
