GR Yaris What did you do to your GR Yaris today?

Hi
I believe that the UK Toyota network have harmonised service prices across the (true) GR range. Of course, they did that by increasing prices to match any higher ones. So, now the GR Yaris service should cost the same as the GR Supra service. That means that the prices have gone from the initial £165 and £300 to £300 and £450 respecticely. Safety check cost also jumped from £50 to £75.

For clarity, I'm not aware of a 24k / 2-year service. I believe you mean either:
  • 24k miles / 4-year
  • 12k miles / 2-year
yes sorry 1 yr service was 190 and this time 2 yrs was £450 before deduction for supplying own oil. I won’t be doing the mileage so goes on time for me.

Nice one, I'm more concerned about the oil a Toyota dealership will use.
Not sure if they are an option for you, but RRG Macclesfield have used Fuchs oils for all my services. Thoroughly recommend 👍

And very rightly so.

We should all be, based on various posts on here & elsewhere.

I was too, hence I went for the above-mentioned Ravenol and never looked back. It complies fully with what your engine oil cap displays (most Toyota dealerships use oils that don't) and I consider it to be the best oil available for the GRY. Oh, and it's cheaper than what most Toyota dealers charge for oils that are inferior to this Ravenol.

dealers are very hit and miss, Toyota Bracknell couldn't get their head around why I wanted to take in my own oil, but also couldn't clarify what oil they would be using, ended up taking it elsewhere as although they were slow in getting back to me they had no issues with me taking my own oil as long as it was correct spec, I took millers as it was one of the few recommended by opie oils a while back

Its 3 days late , forgive me, so not exactly " what did you do to your Yaris today ". On Sunday I didn't do anything to the Orphan ... I couldn't find him...

Bought a jump pack. With the battery issue at the moment I'm a bit, reticent to drive somewhere and turn the engine off... but that'll alleviate the paranoia.

I bought a Anker 400A jump starter some years ago. Works like a charm on different cars. I am the family hero that saved at least 3 Christmas 😆

I bought one of these when I was having my immobiliser battery drain issues at the start of the year, and was amazed at how compact and capable they are now.

I remember having one years ago for my Mini, and it seemed to take up half the boot space, it was huge and heavy. The modern ones double up nicely as a power bank for USB charging too.

Ye, pretty similar to mine. These ate very light and practical.

I refused to bite when a boy racer in a Golf pulled along side me, he obviously wanted a race. It's too near Christmas to burst the boys bubble . Poor boy would have to re - write his letter to Santa "dear santa, can I cancel my previous request and replace it with a GR Yaris CP"

Depends on which Golf whose bubble would be burst ;)
