GR86 The GR86 “The Orders / Owners List / GR86 Register”

All three side by side in different colours will be an awesome photo!
Mine and the pearl white are due to be delivered at the same time so we will do a double collection, unfortunately the blue has a 2024 delivery got to feel sorry for him!

Andy - Is there also a list on who ordered exactly when ? I've seen a few lists, but not that one ...

Very much a long time lurker to the forum but hi all!

Ice Silver Manual ordered 10:03.
Had a pre-order in with my local garage (Durham) after the car was confirmed for the UK, as with others even have an order form for my “car”. After the online purchase was confirmed, the garage then held onto the deposit for a month before refunding it. This also happened to my two friends who have orders (pearl white and electric blue) through the same garage and had pre-ordered them with me. Only time they have called about the order was to ask if I’d requested to change garage as they got an earful from TUK when I’d raised the possibility of switching.

Think some credit has to go to the buy online team, the delay issues aren’t their fault and they have been brilliant with myself in almost every aspect and interaction during a difficult time for customers with orders.

Have been told a mid November delivery so not long to go! When I spoke to the garage last week the new salesman who I’m dealing with mentioned other than my order and my friends there are another two being delivered to Durham, be interested to see if they are in the forum.
Congratulations and Welcome 👍✅😎 I’ve added you to the list in post 1

I think “The List” is back up to date (anything wrong please let me know) and with no gaps we have 200 names which should account for around 47% of all U.K. GR86 owners. We have 6 “confirmed cancellations” if there are any I’ve missed please shout up.

Quick update to my order details; I understand car is in Derby along with many others!, and when I asked Toyota online what the holdup is, they admitted that cars needed a software update in the UK to deal with a braking issue?? They estimate delivery to dealer in early December?

That sounds about right from what others are saying. When I asked both dealer and online they could tell me absolutely nothing so you did well to get an update.

Hopefully dealers get to know more soon. It's been so compartmentalised until now that we know more than they do. Although the more I think about it, as long as the Service dept is good and I'm on first name terms with parts guy already then that's fine. We'll never need to deal with salesman apart from collecting the keys. I don't even want the walkthrough of what does what. That's part of the fun of having a new car.

Apparently the Subaru BRZ will be coming to Europe after all. Nothing official, just something I've seen on another thread. For anybody who has not been able to secure a GR86 allocation, it might be worth speaking with your local Subaru dealer?

That’d be interesting, they’ve got a face only a mother could love but pretty similar otherwise.

There are a lot of hoops Subaru would need to jump through to sell a car for just 18 months. They never did very well here either, might be in some European countries but I would be very surprised if they came here, that's also assuming they sell enough Solterras.
