DittoThanks for the heads-up on this. Didn't bother with a service plan initially, but if they're going up by that much, it's a no-brainer to lock in prices.
Went for the 3-year plan online.
A big thanks kinboshi for starting this thread!Sorted mine just now with the dealer. Went for the maximum of 10 services, which for me covers 5 years @12K miles a year. £400+ discount (which seems to be the same for most), and the prices locked in at the current price, with the safety checks included (but FOC as they will happen with my services).
Glad I locked the old prices in last week - still seem like very excessive price increases, despite current inflation. Has anyone noticed other manufacturers increasing service pricing? To confirm the new prices are now visible online at https://toyotagbplc.service123.co.uk/serviceplan/quote
Safety Check: £75
Intermediate Service: £300
Full Service: £450
I thought so as there not on the service plan. The 'safety checks' are optional "Additional Services", as shown when you take out a service plan. I personally won't be going to the unnecessary added hassle and expense.
Not at this rate increase (very excessive) but someone on the FB group mentioned that Toyota were bringing all GR cars in line for servicing.Glad I locked the old prices in last week - still seem like very excessive price increases, despite current inflation. All GR models priced the sameNot at this rate increase (very excessive) but someone on the FB group mentioned that Toyota were bringing all GR cars in line for servicing.
It will be interesting to see what price GR86 services are.
Maybe they do a PAT test?I wonder what gets replaced in a 200 quid electric b service.
It's a bit of forward thinking but if you get your car serviced just before it is 10 years old it will still get the Toyota Relax warranty added for a whole year.Worth remembering that each service also tops up your warranty (if you are in the UK) once the original 3 or 5 year warranty has ended - I'm sure some of the cost is paying for that.
Yes, you can cancel or transfer at any point.Another advantage of a service plan is that you can cancel whenever you like.
And it could be a selling point if you decide to move the car on.
I believe you can transfer it to the new owner who takes over the payments on the same terms.
